Needed to change the diff fluid - upgraded to synthetic Mobil 1 -- decided to paint the covers while I had everything apart.
Not the easiest thing to do in <32 degree weather, but I got it done

All painted
I will install this at a later date once I get some free time

Time to upgrade the stock headlight harness to the Putco harness and H4 bulbs
I swapped out the Taiwan relays to Bosch style relays - easier to find and replace if needed.

Removed clutch fan in favor of dual electric fans
Replaced the alternator while I had everything apart.
Had to modify the outer alternator bracket to clearance the belt
Went with, what I thought would be a temporary electric fan for eBay, for my 2nd fan.

Well nows as good as time as any to bite the bullet and cut my hood for the snorkel install
4.25" hole saw
mounted using 2" hood spacers to give it plenty of space for air movement
Used flexible dryer vent I painted black to match everything else
Added some Mr. Fusion decals

I followed NickInTimeFilms installation of the flares
Flat Fender Flares arrived from Napier Precision Products
They also offer a flare set for those who have done the cut-n-fold mod
Time to trim

Well AC compressor finally seized up on me - so I had to pull it and went with a bypass pulley

Since I ditched the stock air intake for the hood snorkel. It was time to work on the dual battery setup.
mounting holes marked
I just used a stock battery tray, it works for the main battery why not for the second battery

I plan on using my Jeep as a RV of sorts and I will be sleeping in the rear cargo area.
So I will need a way to open the rear hatch without crawling out the doors in the night
So I went to the local JY and pulled an interior trunk release from a '99 Ford Escort for $3
Now I can easily release the hatch latch with a slight tug
If only it had a guy jumping from a Jeep instead.
Hmmm, time to get creative I think.
It also glows-in-the-dark!
Neat!

Stock antenna kept smacking my windshield so I decided to upgrade by going smaller
13" off-road antenna from Amazon
Works just as good and now no more risk of a cracked windshield
