Dave's Patiot Blue 00 (XJ # 7)
Another build thread! Xj number 7 in the last 5 years, jeep number 10 or so..Ive lost count at this point. Ive made quite a bit of profit in the last couple years buying/selling... Lets recap:
2009-10ish I bought this thing (88 XJ bone stock)
Kept it for a year or so, painted it, swapped in a D44, gay lift, etc. Sold it looking like this:
Went and picked up this right before the 88 sold:
Threw a RE 4.5" lift and some JK wheels/tires on it. This is what it looked like before i traded it for a toyota:
Gay toyota:
Sold the toyota, bought a 00 XJ that was fairly abused:
Spent lots of money on it and ended with this:
Traded the silver XJ for a pretty lame TJ:
Sold the TJ and made a couple grand, ended up buying this 2 door:
Lowered the 2 door about 3" leaving it at 3" of lift and put on some 33s, sold it like this to pay for my wedding:
Went about 2 months with no Jeep, ended up buying a WJ, didnt do anything to it other than clean it, cut the bumpers and put some slightly bigger MTRs on it:
Traded the 99WJ for this 91 YJ:
Wheeled the YJ until its near death encounter, pictured here:
Got it home, cleaned out the tank, new plugs, fluids, and threw some KM2s on it..at this point I had sold the hard top, full doors, and only had 1800 dollars in the YJ, traded it even for this 99XJ:
Kept the pearl 99 for about 2 months..somehow sold it for 5k cash..profit of 3200 dollars off the YJ, ended up buying this bone stock..paid just under 2500 for it:
Thing was immaculate, put a good deal of work into it after a couple months it looked like this:
Had about 4500 in it at that point...traded it even for this 99 4.0 ax15 TJ in immaculate condition:
Kept it a couple months, sold it for 7k..so a profit of 2500 off the green XJ.

Which brings us to a few weeks ago. Bought this 2000 Sport Patriot Blue (paid just under 4k)with 135k on it. 6.5" RC lift (the official lift of mall crawlers everywhere), 35" Mickey Thompson MTZs, interior so clean you could eat off the floor, fairly clean body and paint, yada yada.
Day I bought it:

Picked up some Ares Fab a pillar brackets and used the pods I had on my last XJ to put on the pillars.
The ares fab brackets are nice..but the hardware they provide just seemed impossible to use. Ended up using tapered thread bolts and just drilling right into the pillar...they aren't going anywhere.

I'll keep this one unless I get another crazy trade offer. I had planned on.keeping the green one but couldn't pass up the trade on the TJ knowing I'd make thousands.

No real updates...
Had an oil pressure issue where my gauge dropped to 0 and went up to normal with acceleration...checked oil and it was a tad low..added a little less than a quart and it idles around 20 now and cruises at around 40PSI so im not too concerned about it.
Also sold the Logans Metal bumper and will be picking up a B. Lee's Stubby and working on a hidden winch setup in the next week or so.
