Clifford the big red XJ
Got to go ride Gulches last weekend for my clubs annual event. Was a good trip and nice to get back on the trails after working every weekend for the last 2 months. Got my half doors sorta finished and ready for this ride. Still need an inside latch, cup holders, and speakers.
Got it off the trailer Friday afternoon and got roped into doing shipwreck. Pretty fun trail. Rocks at the bottom are a *****, especially after Lowrange2 gets in there and slops it up before he winched. Claws walked right up everything . Hitting that slab at the end is awesome. But i didn't get to finish it Friday... I got halfway through before my steering box broke off the frame. Stripped one bolt hole, broke a bolt off in another, and broke the box in half on the last hole. I forgot to take a picture of the box before I returned it as core to Advance (they saved my *** by having a box in stock 16 miles away from the park). Broke around 3 and made it back for dinner by 7:30.
Anyways, got that taken care of and done then wheeled all day Saturday and had a good time. Jeep did well, had an issue with it sputtering and shutting off intermediately. I think it is a fuel delivery problem but I'm not sure. The bumper wings I made under the fenders were too long and the tire grabbed them and bent them down. Andy brought me a grinder and I trimmed them up just to keep riding without having to deal with that. I'll weld them back on and trim the fender some more to keep the bumper from looking like ***. Didn't get much body damage. Just lost the driver rain gutter and hit the passenger one on a tree.
I bent the driver slider up into the doors pretty good. Giving me good motivation to do boatsides and re do some cage work...
I'll find more pictures later.

I also see your busted steering gear box on the trailer in the first picture. So, you do have a picture of it. You're welcome.

Yeah, it held up well this weekend again. Lots more love on it.
I meant to take one of the holes but I got caught up worrying about the broken puller.

Hey Wil, Not sure if you saw it or not but I sent you a pm about regearing the 8.25. I am fixing to jump on this. Tired of looking at those gears sitting in my garage.
I'll have questions about the D30 when I get to it.

Well... I sold my axles today. Picked up a 60/10.5 from an 06 F350 from Huntingman270something last weekend. Going to start working on these this next week and will start trying to acquire parts and junk. I'm going to be running 38's-4D's.
