Update from yesterday guys. I was banging on it with a hammer and broke off a big chunk of the engine block. Just kidding... I had everything soaking in PB for a couple days. Tried my propane torch, broke off an easy out, broke a couple off flush. At that point it was time to call my dad. It's funny how when I was 15-16-17 years old starting out working on my own stuff, dad always was the superhero when I would get stuck. Now that I'm in my 30's, dad is still the superhero when I've hit a dead end. He came over and drilled them out and retapped the holes. The pump is now on. I was scared to death I was going to be the idiot that ruins one of the last US Renault Cherokee engine blocks. I'm gonna start throwing it back together this afternoon. Hopefully the belt I ordered comes in the mail.

ZRJ - no offense, but using the right tool may have saved you days of aggravation.

Factory "TURBO" gauge. Pretty odd to see.
Does anyone know if there's a way to make the oil pressure gauge start at 0?

Also what's missing in this hole?

Yes, duh. I should have known that. I had a '96 with the same dash a week ago.

Good news! I got everything back together and buttoned up tonight. I stopped when it was time to run and get coolant. I was hot, sweaty, dirty, and hungry. Not a good combination. Plus it gives me a reason to get up early tomorrow.
