So been pretty busy today, after coming into some money what better way to spend it than putting it into the jeep lol. So I went ahead and bought my front coil springs today from a ford thunderchicken. cost a whole $42.00 dollars. That was the spring and strut plate. After looking at it, it seems the strut plate won't be needed but time will tell after installing it.
So came home and started on the rear removing the rear leaf springs which actually went pretty good. All the bolts came out good (no broken shock bolts) which was a plus considering the previous owner played in the mud alot lol but I had to remove rear tail section of the exhaust and the hole exaust pulled out of the muffle lol but I gotta say it sounds better now instead of the exhaust leak it had.
So far I gotta do the bastered pack and in goes the leafs springs and on to the coil springs.
NOTE: thunderbird vs 4.5 coil springs.
1)Thunderbird measured to 16.5 tall commpared to 20'' tall for the 4.5
2) Thunderbird really noticably thicker than 4.5 coils.
3) Thunderbird was like 5'' wide vs 6 inch on 4.5 coils so thats why it leads me to believe, strut mount isn't need.

Got my bastered packs built. Probably gonna get shackles installed while I'm doin all this but I haven't decided yet.
For the order I ran my packs was
Cherokee
S10
Cherokee
S10
S10
So far I like the arch it gave me but true test will be after I install them.
So today I'll be putting everything together in the rear to see how much lift it's actually gonna net me. I'll keep y'all posted

So holy *****, installed the bastered pack and 2 inch blocks and I believe I got more lift that I was thinking lol. The goal was trade my 37 for 31's and run 31's but instead so much lift was gained I can run 37's like it's nothing and still could add a shackle if I wanted.
Just have to drill out the isolator and from their I'm on the home stretch.

So everything lifted, problem I'm running into now the front is not tall enough because my control are at full drop and won't allow the jeep to raise up anymore so only thing I need is control arms, shocks, and maybe trac bar and it's done and paint and jeeps done.
I can honestly say u can build a a 4.5 lifted cherokee an be fine but I just have the urge to go big or go home. But it'll get finished sooner or later lol
I'll keep y'all posted

Great Score on CL.
Are you planning on running those 37's? Your XJ's gonna hate you 4 banger, stock gearing, D35..
keep up the build & watch that budget......

So I figured all the $$$ that I have in the jeep and what's left.
Before: $328
Spent $175 on jeep parts but the transfer case won't be installed on this jeep so really spent $75
Final amount left before $1000 dollar mark is .......... $$253
Items left to finish jeep.
-interior door handle
-center console arm rest
-homemade transfer case drop
-shocks (buying from advanceauto)
-paint
-maybe drop pitman arm.
And that's it.
From what I added up if I don't paint the jeep and can finish the jeep right at a $1000 but if I do paint it, I'll have a total if $1150 dollars in it.
So I'm still undecided on if I'm going to paint it or not. I'll keep y'all posted
