Cut the bumper down, kind of looked like a **** mustache so I took the bottom corners off. I would love to have a front stubby from dirt bound but I will have to live with the poor mans version for now.

I have liked the bed lined side look for a while and noticed that the body was starting to get a little rusty in some places. So first I took off the bumper cap brackets, then cleaned it up and gave it a good scuff, taped it, and painted it. I had really didn't think I was going to like the look of it this much.

Had an Ok day at the Great American Jeep Rally. I'm not into destroying my rig in mud and the rock garden was ether super lame or you needed at least 35's and rock rails to really play, but the RTI ramp was fun. I only scored like a 470 something going forward, but got a 778 in reverse. I'm thinking she could definitely use some longer shocks, brake lines. But first things first still saving for 33's

Ok, so as I said I was a little disappointed with my scores at the RTI ramp. Just checked my score and front was 425 and rear was 773. Anyway I've been fretting about buying new longer shocks and making due in the mean time when I remembered that I have shock extensions that I got from my friend when I bought his JK shocks. With a little fab work they went on easy.
So now limiting droop is my LCA's hitting the spring/shock plate.
before at full droop
after at full droop
and some new flex pics. Seems to have made a big difference

So I'm not sure if its a total score or not but I got these 33" Baja Claws for $400 but Im one man down and there is a X terrain procomp in its place with a BFG all terrain for a spare.
and I put them on today. Not a huge difference in power like I thought but they are loud. Cant wait to hit the trail.

Nice score on the tires!
You actually want the lca's to stop on the mount rather than the shock stopping the travel. It's hard on the shock.
I Notched out the stops for more travel but I would not advise it.

thanks for the heads up. I always think of limiting straps as a big long arm rig thing I guess even cheap little shocks need lovin too

The 33's seem to have cut my gas mileage almost in half. Oh well from rock crawler to grocery getter. Good thing I kept those old wheels.

Showed the Xj a little love over the past week or so. New battery, new cables also folded the inner fender seem to save those 33's. Seen allot of guys cut it and fold but decided to just pound it over.
and then gave them a squirt of bed liner
