Hey bro! Been really busy with work and family. The wife and I have opposite schedules now, so it's hard to get time to work on anything. With her working weekends,I always have the kids on the weekend.

How's things with you?

Not bad. Been busy this year with the heep and of course when I think I've got things all worked out the engine starts acting up. So now I'm trying to balance fixing that and doing some upgrades and stage 0 to the dd.

Added a VP9 to the collection. That's about it for fun stuff. Oh I won COTM for August. Which is pretty cool. If you check out the CF facebook page I'm the banner but they been slow to add me to the banner here.

update, after a few dirty looks, and a talking too by jonny...i decided to save my self a headache and panel in the front of the cage for some "fenders".

The panels are .050 aluminum 5052. Ad are held on to the body by some nutserts, and stainless button head allens.

Mocking up and welded.

Front view.
They dont cover 100% of the tire...but around here it seems "good enough".

Picked up a nice vibration(more than usual) in the front end, checked the tires, they were good. Did some more looking, and found a bad ball joint on the drivers side. Decided it was time to upgrade and insalled some new Alloy USA hardened Ball joints.

I also reduced caster a little bit to improve drive shaft angle, but had to shorten the lowers a bit to realign the coils.

And finally, trimmed the coil insert bump pads to keep them from hanging on the coils.

for ayone still following...the jeeps ot dead, its just restig in the garage. waiting for an adventure.

In the downtime i decided to go back through some things i didn't like about it, call me picky.

the biggest thing i always hated was all the bad wiring. I pulled all the acc wiring and added some self reseting breakers for all the electrical. Also added some manual reset breakers and lighted led switchs for all the acc's.

new switch panel with room to grow.

Jeep is still alive! after a long hiatus...and many other projects i thought it was time for an update. Jeep has wheeled without issue for many of trips and all in all it has worked well. through the trips there have been many tweaks to it and a few changes along the way.

Most recent change was to the front springs. I replaced the previous springs that were Re spring (approx 175lbs) with some BDS sprigs that are 240lbs rate. The new springs work much better through the rough high speed stuff and don't seem to affect the flex..if anything its much more balanced now. I also through on a set of the new Falken Wildpeak AT3's. So far no complaints about the tire, but then again, i don't do mud.
