Picked up a stock 2000 Jeep Cherokee as my first car
![]() ![]() The specs: 100,000 miles 4.0L I6 Aisin-Warner AW-4, 4 speed auto NP242 Front axle : Dana 30 Out back : Chrysler 8.25 A week after I had it it died in the driveway (slow crank needed new battery) [IMG] [/IMG]After I got it running again my buddy and I built a back seat cupholder out of wood lol ![]() After that I noticed that at night there was no light shining thru the gear selector so i took the cover off and found the light was shoved down by the T case handle ![]() Next i decided i couldnt see good enough at night so i added some el cheapo 55watt driving lights and since one of my stock fog lights didnt work i just removed them and wired the new lights in using the existing harness ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The lights realy helped with visiblity at night and yes 55 watt are legal to run on the road After getting those on I moved on to the intake i ditched the stock airbox for a cone filter and a couple of 4 inch spacers I made a little bracket that bolts to the fender well and extends up to the filter and it hold the whole thing in place. I also made a heat shield out of some home depot sheet metal and painted it black. ![]() ![]() ![]() there is a lot of discussion saying that useing the stock airtube wont gain you any power but i have found this mod gave better throttle reponce and more low end power Next, I wanted to change the Diff. fluid so just got some oil and all the tools and did it then painted the diff. covers red ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() As it sits now all those mods and a little dirty hehehehe ![]() ![]() And for future mods include by summer Rustys 3 inch lift with full packs, Cragar soft eights, 32" BFG AT, going flareless and gonna so some trimming to clear 32's, and Rustys catback with a flowmaster 40
