More progress. It fought me a bit but I was able to get it to set right (or where I was happy with it). Keep in mind its for an early model cherokee and I have a late model. Drilling into the rear quarter panel was hard to do but I was able to get past that haha.

Last part of the carrier. I relocated the license plate by getting a normal bracket and cover.

Most likely going to be getting the Class 3 Recovery from Detours. Love this setup.

Took the Jeep out on its maiden voyage to the Ozarks. I was pleasantly surprised

I also got a bull bar for super CHEAP. My bumper is bent to heck anyway. So this will do until I get a bumper/winch combo. Probably going with the Detours USA one. Love that setup.

Here is a wide chain from a 231D out of a Dodge Durango. You can see its 1/2 inch wider.
I first tried to use a chain out of a Chevy transfer case (bottom chain of two chains) but it didn't work.

Yeah I had a 6 planetary gear but its for older model 231's. The gears are too rounded. The newer years are sharper, if that makes any sense.

Any tips? I'm about to tackle a SYE install for the first time in a week or two.

Also, you get those wheels on? Curious to how they look.
