Ok great, and thanks. I love the color too. The wife, not so much (color that is). I loved the gunmetal color That it originally was, but with the body work and having to look at cost for matching repainting... I just couldn't do it. So I started to look at OD green and it seemed hit or miss. So then I settled for the sand. Besides, I live near the beach so I found it fitting.

Took sometime today to think about cosmetic stuff. Decided on what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna put an American flag stenciled outline on both sides just in front of the door, on the fender. (Forgive the poor handwriting... I blame computers and typing, and the poor drawing.. I'm not an artist lol)
I'm going to get new emblems for the JEEP, 4.0L, and 4X4 and paint them all black and place them.
Also putting the cherokee lettering back on the passenger door and adding it to the driver door. These will be stenciled on just like the flag.
My wife has a Cricut machine and so I'm going to buy some vinyl sticky paper, cut out the letters of the paper, and use the page as the stencil. The flag could be a little difficult, but I like the idea so I'm running with it.
I'm really excited because I'm just a few steps from getting this thing inspected and tagged. Then I can take it to a family members garage where I can work during the winter. Buttttt...... I still have to get the horn working. I know it's the clock spring unit thing in the steering wheel, but I don't have the time/money/care to fix it... 2 wires, a switch, and the horn is all I need to get it through the inspection.
Last note: I was totally that kid that played with the Legos with out the instructions because I just wanted to play so bad... Well here's my first baby flex picture lol. Put ramp on front driver and rear passenger and went up. I know it's nothing, but fun just to get an idea on what It will be.

Here's a better idea on the flags. Just finished designing them in the program for the cutting machine. Gonna test them out tomorrow and see if it will work. Got to love having a monday off Everything in black will be cut away by the machine leaving a very clean and nice stencil that I can stick to the Jeep and just attach paper with painters tape to make a large protected area around the stencil. If it works nice enough, I may forgo buying the emblems... that could be money straight to a roof rack, lights, or a winch.
I got the sizing from a US history site. Gave specs for flags. This is built as close to scale as I could get it.

Here's the test one. I did it on card stock first to see about size and if it will look right. The first pic is of the machine used, the left is the stencil and the right is what would be painted on the jeep itself. The second and third pics are the stencil on the approximate places on the jeep it will go.
Like I said, I will be using a sticky vinyl to attach to the jeep so I get nice, clean lines. I'm pretty sure I'm doing "cherokee" in this as well. Thoughts on doing "CHEROKEE" but make the HERO in extra large font?

Not as crisp as I'd like the edges to be, but I'm happy with it dang wind messed me up on the other side (the vinyl got itself. I have to cut another one).

Getting the rough idle fixed today. Thanks for all those on here for good write ups.... And I painted the bumper now to just get my In-law over with his torch and I'll be set.
