Get used to it. I had to drive Doom to Farm and Fleet yesterday and got wrangled in the parking lot by a guy driving a Commander. Then I came out to a guy taking a picture of the old girl. People just love extreme mall crawlers.

^ Hah, I've gotten tons of looks and people asking about it. Drove her down to pontiac on friday for a granger smith concert, pulled in and people were staring it down and had people ask about it. Then last night I went out to the spot I used to go wheeling for a fire, and people were walking up to it staring, then someone came up to me and was like "is that a ****in roll cage?"
Streched her legs a little today. Don't think I was maxed out. Who knows. My dang driver shock weld broke last night.
Fabbed up a spare tire mount, idea from Anthony except I didn't use a u bolt. I took an exhaust clamp, drilled a hole in it, tapped it for threads, then threaded in some threaded rod, put a nut against the bracket, and used the factory wing nut thing and spacer
I had to unlatch the backseat to make it fit. Well I don't ever use the backseat but maybe once or twice a month, but I still wanted it to latch. I moved the mount forward a little, used self tappers haha. Seat is a little more upright but hey that's not my problem I'm the driver not a passenger. I just want to jeep full interior (for now) as I daily drive this turd.
Got rid of the crappy intermitently wiring issues wiper motor and made a quick blockoff. I'd like to find a factory cap for it but that's not high on my list.
Added a few more stickers
Winterfest FTW!
Thats it for updates right now.. Still need to paint inside of cage. Gunna do it john deer green.
Cool pic to end the post

Zac the inventor! I ended up taking the bracket off and welding t the threaded rod to the exhaust clamp the tapped threads were loose when I removed the mount. I said screw it today and cut out the passenger shoulder bar too. Yes I lost some structure overall from removing both. But I need my comfort as this is my daily driver aswell and I like things to be symmetrical.
Oh yeah.. And I painted the cage. John Deer green!
I went after the broken shock mount again. I've messed with this driver side shock a total of 4 times now. So this time I drilled straight though the floor, bolted the BPE in, then my brother got home and offered to weld it so its welded and bolted haha. Going to dremel off the bolt heads when I put the seats and stuff back in tomorrow.

I really really like the green myself. I was kind of iffy on it before I started it. Looks cool with the rear windows down.
Kind of low on funds right now. Between other crap and buying tools and just having the cage done I think I'm done on big stuff for the jeep for a month or 2. I've had a gas smell the past few days, can't find any leaks, I messed with a lot of stuff today I'll see tomorrow if its gone or not. Its only in cab and when idling after driving, start driving again and it's gone.
I'd like to do a rear locker, matching riddler diff cover, and steering soon. As much as I want a 3 link or long arm set up, I don't need it and rather make other things better first. Also I want to relocate the alternator and ditch the ac here soon, don't know if the AC works yet though and I don't wanna ditch it if it functions fine, but alternators and me don't mix in the mud. Another plan I have is doing an onboard air set up. I absolutely hate airing down at parks because it always seems like such a hassle airing back up. I found a decent little compressor with 3 gallon tank at sears I'd like to buy but then I need a converter for it.
Itching to make this jeep doorless with the nicer days weve been having here. But all the rain in the forecast every day makes me not want to start hacking away at it. I may end up doing it saturday though before our meet and greet sunday depending on if the weather looks good for sunday. All 4 doors eventually will be removable on this one. No power options ftw
People are asking me like "this is still your daily driver" I'm just like uhh yeah why wouldnt it be... Apparently people don't think like us.

It's a great box. It's my jeep/junkyard box. I can fit most of what I need in it, and its waterproof if I swamp it I bought that on at menards onsale for around $20 if i remember correctly. It fit perfect when I had the spare laying down and the box next to it.

Fun weekend. Jeeps giving me some issues though. 1st it smells like propane sometimes. No gas leaks anywhere. And the smell isn't always. 2. Right now I can only start it by jumping the starter relay. No it's not the NSS either, I replaced that 4 months ago with a brand new one, and I tried bypassing the NSS and it still wouldn't start. I'm thinking its the starter solenoid. Tried changing relay and checking fuses. 3. Some how my brake pedal is very low now and my brake fluid container is all the way at the top and overflowing if I pull the cap off. Almost like a line shot the fluid back up to the master. No idea whatsoever what it could be. It did this to me 3 months ago all i did to fix it then was bled the brakes and its been 3k miles since so IDK.
Saturday I made the doors removable. Rolled with them off all weekend. Was 65-70 sat/sunday. Sunday I had the jeep meet. Biggest one yet! Anthony does a great job and I'm glad he made a meet up once a month for everyone to get together and BS.
Another thing. I'm probably buying a full ironrock 6.5 long arm kit off a buddy for 1/3 the price it costs new. So i might be retiring the short arms here soon. My short arms flex great though as it is. Here was a pic from saturday night.
Rode up to the jeep meet with my buddy Tim & Cody. Cody and I both went doorless. He decided to take some pics
Basically right now I got some garage time ahead of me. Hopefully I can figure this crap out tomorrow after work because it is my daily sadly.

Wj was cool, talked to the guy who owned it for awhile, didnt catch his name though.
For real man. The people I've met i this past year of jeeping has made it all the better. Especially you guys put the positive wheeling experience into everything. I can't even really get myself to offroad unless its at a park now either.

[QUOTE=Brandonrcm;3074241]I looked at that picture for about 3 minutes myself originally thinking to myself "HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE" then realized.

His name is Johnathon. He owns an XJ too.
