The RE 3.5 Superflex kit is in, front adjustable track bar is on, transfer case skid is in, transmission mount replaced, rear hitch is in, and 30s are on. I think my suspension was basically shot because this is a smoother ride. I'll eventually get the SYE, but for now I'm very happy with the ride.
out with the old...
although the old trans mount didn't look too bad.
monotube shocks - RE uses billstein 5100s.
transfer case skid is a junkyard find
hitch looks good
final product
some side shots
Not much left on this build. I'd like to get the motor mounts in, replace my power steering pump, and then just enjoy the jeep for a while. Probably eventually put up a cargo net and add seat covers, with new head lights being another thing I could see doing down the road. That's all for now though, thanks for following!

Lookin good, check out brown dog motor mounts if you haven't already, I've got the rubber ones and have been very pleased, made in the USA and much beefier than stock.
Edit: looks like you already decided on the brown dogs lol

haha yeah that's the plan. I'm trying to decide whether to replace the gasket on the oil filter adapter since I'm down there anyway when I do it. Not noticing much of a leak, so I'm inclined to not touch it.

I've taken the xj out offroading and it's handled everything I've thrown at it. One mall crawler upgrade I'm proud of: A new sub and amp in a stealth box using the cargo cubby. Check out subthump.com if you're interested. Great, high quality product. I also used some off-brand dynamat sound deadening stuff on the front doors and behind the sub. That stuff makes a difference, maybe at some point I'll put it all over the interior.
I'm not sure what else to do the Jeep other than stay on top of maintenance. My upgraded fuel injectors are still leaking, so I'm using the warranty and sending them back in for replacements. Eventually Ill get around to replacing the whiney power steering pump. Otherwise I'm pretty much content with my XJ. I don't do enough offroading to go crazy on skid plates and lockers yet. I'm thinking about getting some nice seat covers though. I'm getting about 17-19mpg with the lift and 30 inch tires. Not bad.
Thanks for following!
subthump makes these boxes in different colors to match the trim. Looks basically stock.

Looks great! I second the sub box, I think I need to add that to my list as well. My 4 speakers are all crackling and need to be replaced, guess I should go ahead and do the sub as well. Did you do it yourself? What did it cost you?

Yeah, I did. Not a super complex job. There are lots of write-ups and videos online. Box + shipping was $150. Dynamat-knock off was $50, sub and amp was about 100$. Wires were around $30. Came out great! I highly recommend it.

Cool, I'll be looking to do this sometime soon. I'm slightly sad every time I turn my radio on and the sound is so poor. Never had a vehicle that had such a terrible stock system.
