Definitely a busted passenger side axle. Went to take it all apert and do balljoints this weekend but I couldn't get the hub bolts out...soooo much rust...even PB'd them everyday for 3 days prior to my dis-assembly. Now autozone stocks the axles and they come with a lifetime warranty and only $55. I don't know what I'm going to do at this point. I really don'y feel like wasting a bunch of weekends if I break off a bolt and I don't have money right now to throw a bunch of parts at it. We have a 3rd vehicle but we've been trying to sell it. Where does everyone get their cheap parts? Would I be able to get a decent axle out of a junkyard or would I have the same issues? I'd like to get one of those "new" prebuilt drop in axles but they're over $3k on the East Coast Gear and Supply website. Anywhere that has drop in front axle setups for cheap?

It definitely was a CV axle, got a new one and putting it in as soon as the heat dies down. Doing all the front ball joints too. Got everything torn down hopefully can finish this weekend.

If I can get the lower ball joint in I should be able to button everything up tonight...if there's time. Then I have to make one of those brake bleeding apparati out of a bottle, duct tape and hose.

Got the balljoint in, greased them and got the brake line in, still need to bleed the brakes and put hubs, axles, brakes and tires back in/on.

New drag link, tie rod, and tie rod ends, still some DW. Track bar next. Was hoping I wouldn't have to replace that right away as I was planning on a Long Arm kit after winter.

Replaced the track bar and welded on a washer too as the hole was starting to elongate. Still have intermittent death wobble, thinking it's tires/shocks/control arm bushings. I can't seem to find any cheap used local 30x9.5 BFG KO's. Might buy some used 31x10.5 Duratracs from a friend.

Call around to tire shops. I got my 31's otd installed for $450 Brand new. They're not a BFG, but they are a hercules A/T tire and they have held up well.

Hmm, that's a pretty good price...I've got a friend that just upgraded to 33's so I'm buying his old 31's and rims, hopefully they're good enough for winter. Would be nice to leave as much in the bank as possible as I'm getting almost 3% interest on it.

Default As always click for full Res.

Got permission to take some scrap wire. Grabbed 2 sets of 1 AWG wire each about 20 feet long...Now just have to get it home and have the shop do some fancy crimping and soldering.

None of your pictures show up for me... I think you have privacy turned on, or something. I highly recommend using imgur.com for pictures.

Alrighty, fixed them let me know if they still aren't working. I use imgur for quick copy and pastes, but google used to be really easy(still is but just changed a few things) and I have free unlimited storage of full resolution photos and they automatically upload on wifi.

Edit: I also tend to go on very long tangents if I stay on that site any longer than it take to paste a picture, upload and share a direct link...LOL
