Before I start a gotta thank all my fellow Cherokee owners that have posted all this useful stuff up here. I read these pages daily. The builds and walkthroughs are nuthin but helpful. Thanks gents.
So I have a Green 94 xj. She's a good girl aside from the oil leaks, non cooling, cooling system, shot suspension, blown steering assembly, crappy AC, exploded speakers, bald tires, you get the idea. But you can't really complain for $750.
This is what she looked like when I got her home.
First things first... That red stripe had to go and those wheels.... horrible. So one bottle of GooGone and 2 cans o Krylon flat black later and: Notice my jeep style parking. Yup, it's already in my blood.
So now I'm in the engine bay. Tightend down the valve cover and replaced the oil filter seal. Cleared up most of the leaks but I still believe there is a main seal leak. Cross that bridge when i get to it.
I also did Howler's budget air box mod and IAT relocation. Took about 20 mins and 10 of that was the walk to the hardware store for the plug. Cheggit: And the whole thing:
So that's it so far. Next is the cooling and sound systems. Gotta have my chunes.
