Hah thanx man. I like the way it is all working so far but we'll see once I get my tires on it. If anyone has suggestions for doors or a cage let me know.
Thanks ken

Don't try and tow from the front hooks..They look cool and everything but you will rip your bumper right off... Like me!

I was actually thinking the same thing after I did all that, but on the rear the tow points are actually welded to the reciever hitch assembly so those ones should hold up, but I need to figure out the front end. I am not quite sure what to do with the front bumper to make it strong enough to tow from or if that is even possible. I am also still looking for some shackles to replace my temperary shackle extensions that I made, so if anyone knows of any let me know.
thanks ken

Since you seem like a competent welder, build a bumper! There is a few tech threads on simple bumper builds on here. I would suggest a shorty bumper. I will try and find a pic of one for you..

If i can find a free piece of steel that large or for cheap I will be making a bumper exactly like that, thanks for the input.
Well today I got my tires on the truck and they look sweet here are a few pictures. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Then last night I also got the rear shocks mounted and I installed all new u-joints in the front end. Now I only have a few other things left to fix before I would trust taking it offroad. thanks ken

haha, ya there is some room to play with, but up front I need to make some sort of a limiting strap because my shocks will be blown apart the first time I really flex it out. And I still have not done anything with the rear brake lines to extend them or anything so that is a must as soon as possible. I really want to start my roll cage but I think that might have to wait till spring time but I am not sure yet, only because it is going to start snowing soon and the jeep will fill up in a day with snow.
Within the next week or so I am going to: -Give the whole jeep a flat black paint job. -Work out all the problems with the brakes. -Reconnect the transfer case shift linkage which fell off today. -Move the track bar lower bolt over 3/4" for better movement. And there will probably be more but I will keep updating. thanks -ken

YJ brake lines will be plenty long enough and will fit right up.

I am either going to do yj brake lines like you said, or I am just going to make my own which is more of what I am looking toward.

just grab some shackles off an mj comanche. they will give you your 1.75 or so inches of lift.
