'90 Laredo DD/wheeler
Ive had the Jeep since june 2010. bought it for $3150 from a little dealership on the corner. the previous owner had it as a "Tow-Behind" for his rv. so it had 233000 miles on it from that.
some specs
the next thing that was done was the lift after a few weeks.
ive been painting things blue too so it flows well.
here's the shackle. and you can see the exhaust tip turned and welded shorter.
and the spacer is shown after i tore apart the front end.
got it all back together and had the windows tinted. (livin in arizona takes a toll without having any tint.)
after i ran a small flex test with the small tires and sway bar on.
after a month or so i finally got my 30x950's... wanted to stay away from mainstream so i went with Falken Rocky Mountain ATS. they've been amazing since ive had em.
and its been this way for the past month. works well for me since im a highschool senior and i dont all the money in the world. haa
went up to Flagstaff over the weekend and went out a little with my brother and his 4runner.
the Jeep sits like this for now.
..
thats it for now.
Im ALWAYS open for suggestions so whatever youve got to share. I'm all ears. let me know what you guys think.
some specs
- 1990 laredo
- straight 6 4 litre
- original motor
- everything was stock down the relay cover and only worked on by dealerships
- 215/75/r15 michelin tires that were almost new

this is the day after i bought it
the next thing that was done was the lift after a few weeks.
- 2 inch spacers shackles

Not bad, amazing how clean everything is underneath. You should see mine up North. Lots of rust...be glad you don't have that problem.
You should do your exhaust next, make it have a more noticeable sound and a little extra power. Best upgrade you can do for less than $100.

yeah im thankful to be rust-free.
i have a small exhaust leak as it is. ive thought of replacing the entire system but that will get pricey.
and ive got a bad ball joint so that will be the next project

Nice Jeep, that thing is clean!
Never seen those tires before, they look like they'd be pretty nice for a daily driver. I had some Bridgestone Duelers' with a tread patten like that on a Blazer some years back and they were pretty impressive off road for an AT tire.

for the spacers i just jacked up the front end, rented a set of coil compressors from autozone, detached the steering stabilizer for extra clearance to get the spacer in. then after i removed the stock spacer since it made the 2" ones not clear. then just put it back together. there's threads on here for any lift install.

yeah they worked really well in flagstaff over the weekend, they clean out really nicely too. im pretty sure they are a relatively new tire design released by falken. i have only seen one other truck with them and that was a little colorado so to me they are more genuine than running BFG's. its a preferance like any other.

nothin new, just waiting on new parking lenses and cold air intake. just went up to flagstaff and drove around a little bit. not really wheeling.
flexed a little bit on the berm, nothing too big, sway bars connected since i had just got off the freeway.

then on the way back down to phoenix i passed through to sedona. the place is absolutely gorgeous.
this photo just makes me think of a magazine shot. lol.

dude jeep looks good and we probably drove by each other today i was on my way back to NM from Avondale. I was rollin through flag at about one or two in a inferno red minivan with NM plates..lol I didn't notice a cherokee around me though so i may have been ahead or behind you..haha. Jeep looks good like i said, as far as long arms go i think you would have to totally custom fab your kit, cause from what i have seen and what it looks like the long arm kit replaces your factory transmission crossmember and i am 100% positive you cant move that back.

yeah ive got a buddy up in flag with a cherokee and he's got a cross member he made for when he had long arms on his 3.5 lift that he made, so ill just lift a little bit more and use his crossmember. i was out of flag by 2. unless you were near downtown i dont think i saw you man.
