No more death wobble.
They said the km2s are hard to keep balanced. I have a slight vibe at 50 but it's not bad.
Finally glad that death wobble is gone lol

It might but I don't want to run a stabilizer on this steering.
In other news, discount tire aired my tires to 40psi!?!?!
That may have been why it kind of rode rough and vibed a tiny bit at 50.
I brought them down to 30 and will test drive tomorrow.

Welp that shimmy after I aired my tires down to 30psi turned into death wobble if I held the speed at 45mph...

although you say everything is tight something is either loose or worn out. steering is ruled out since it is new but theres a gremlin somewhere in there. id have some one go under while you rock the steering back and forth and really check. i just did my front end complete and torqued plus took it for a alignment and they torqued it but still there is a little wollow in my trac bar bolt which could cause the wobble.

I've done the steering wheel test about ten times lol.
Your right though, there's something somewhere and I think it's running a iron rock track bar on over the knuckle steering. Angles are not too pretty and I don't like the bushings at both ends in the track bar.
So I ordered ruff stuff 7/8x3/4 Heims and weld nut inserts today. Also got the weld on frame side and weld on axle side trackbar mounts so I can run the track bar over the axle. Ditching the iron rock as a whole and building the new one with the 1.5od .250wall DOM left over from my steering. So I'll have a beefy as hell solid track bar that I can adjust the angles to my otk drag links liking.

Got the ota track bar on!
Death wobbled still! So I rigged up a steering stabilizer but it still felt funny.
So I checked the alignment, it was 6 degrees toed in...yikes.
So I got it good and now no death wobble
And I even took off the steering stabilizer cause it was causing binding problems. Still no death wobble!

Eliminated my fan clutch and clutch pulley.
50 miles from my house my jeep spit the belt. The bearings in my ilder pulley seized up. So I replaced the idler pulley and insert. I heared a horrible bearing noise and targeted it at the fan clutch. It was the bearings the shaft rides on. Those are not serviceable bearings and you have to buy a whole new bracket to get them. So I just got a shorter belt and went straight from the crank pulley to the alternator completely avoiding the fan pulley.
So far the stock e fan can keep it cool but I'm grabbing another from the yard soon.
It sounds much better and I got a little better throttle response.

Was looking at a hpd44 for the front yesterday, if it wasn't already trussed and had coil buckets on it I would have bought it. It wasn't for an xj it was still full width and coil buckets set for a jk.
Too much work In cutting that truss off and narrowing it when hopefully in about a year or two my jeep will be on tons and 40s.

In other news I really gotta order frame stiffeners so I can start my 2x6 rocker replacement. I'm gonna brace the 2x6 to the unibody with 2x2 and I don't wanna do that without getting more steel on it. Death wobble returned after I wheeled my jeep out at Bridgeport ohv park. Beat on her pretty good and she gave up the alternator, battery, a shock bushing, and an exhaust hanger lol.
So I got a new alternator and a yellow top battery.
Fixed the bushing and exhaust hanger.
Really wanting to get a Detroit for the 8.8. I hate being open back there.
Need to stop procrastinating and do my bump stops so my tires stop eating my fenders.
Gonna get long arms soon hopefully too. Just moved to justin, Texas so things have been crazy lately.

Big updates.
Put new 2" leaf packs, New 2" shackles, put a Detroit in the 8.8, have long arms to install(ruff stuff diy), got a momentary 3 way rocker switch for the winch, put a steering box frame spacer on, steering box brace on, wheeled the hell out of it, smashed my rockers to crap, got new 5.5" Rubicon express coils to go on it, got hd offroad frame stiffeners to burn in, probably other stuff I'm forgetting.
