Ey guys so some of you followed my 89, and those of you who know me personally know it burned up, well, didn't feel right in any other vehicle so you guessed it, 2nd Xj. Here I have a virgin 98 chili pepper red classic, ready and waiting to be modified. And as soon as my gi bill benefits come in, and I find the time, it will be my favorite project. Here she is:

Plans you ask? Well a little overkill for the area, but 6" long arm lift, upgraded gears to 4.56, found a deal on some superswampers through a friend, set of 33" for 850 free shipping, looking at new bumpers from L&L, and b lee's trail rack, it's all starting with the small things, put tow hooks on the other day, and HID's are in the mail, should be a lot of fun to build up

So I made up my mind today and I'm going doorless. Found a fairly simple mod for the 98. Wired up new sub box Saturday and I love it. Now I need to replace my speakers haha. Since I'm going doorless I'm going to borrow a mod I saw on here, I'm going to get a second sound bar for the front of the jeep, and I also saw how the original guy put a rocker switch panel in the middle of it. 2 birds with one stone! Solved my speaker relocation and where to put the auxiliary switches, since there really doesnt appear to be a natural looking place for them. Wish I could remember who the op was so I could give credit where it's due, but I'll be sure to put up some pics

If your model has the front ashtray, and you don't use it, I know of a company that makes a switch compartment that will replace the ashtray. Let me know if you are interested and I'll get you the link.

Critz2, I was asking around about that and no one seemed to know what I was talking about, but that would be my preferred mod

So I have an issue with my subs. I noticed one wasn't hitting as hard as the other, so I went through my system. I unplugged my left one, the one thats working properly, and my right one wasn't even working. I checked the wires and it started to produce some sound but it was just scratchy. I thought maybe the output on my amp was bad so I switched them but same thing. I pressed on the cone and it didn't scratch, so I'm a little confused. I was told if it didn't scratch the sub was ok. I think it's blown, can anyone confirm?
