OK, I have had so much interest in all these parts that I started a web site.

I had no intention of selling these parts but am going to give it a try.
We have been building electric motor adapters for ther last 25 years so we have a lot of the adapter and flywheel hub patterns already so its not a big deal to do this.
We are waiting on the first batch of motor side castings which should be another couple of weeks.

Nice! Any plans for a AW4 adapter or just the manual?

Curious how much the front DS needed to be shortened as well?

Are you reusing the factory gas tank?

(I apologize if these have already been mentioned)

I love my turbo 4.0L, but the potential mileage gains have me drooling over this!

x2 id do this swap for a dd. my ccurrent xj will get a 5.3 tho

but this definatly had me wanting a tdi

Also curious what you're doing for drive shafts - I don't remember reading, either.

Got too busy with real work to get much done the last month.
Getting the harness sorted out and some small stuff finished.
Hope to have a bit more time in June to get this running.
Rear DS was built 4" longer and the front has yet to be shortened.

Been too busy at work to get much done on the Jeep the last month.
Did have a new casting done for the remote oil filter adapter.
The pattern was done on a 3D printer, technology can be so cool.

He said the printer was made in Victoria BC and about $3K.

X2 on this... or, since you've stated your company has the bellhousings of things already, could an adapter be made to mate to the Chevy 4L60E?

That way an easily accessible aftermarket shift controller could be used while retaining a factory look on the interior (basically eliminating the need to figure out how to control the AW4).

I am in rust country, but have a beauty of a aw4 setup currently (no sarcasm intended-- it was a West Coast car so no rust), so I would love to be able to use what I have.

The adapters are designed the match the ENGINE that was in front of the transmission. The adapter must match the bellhousing bolt pattern and that is what was bolted to the original engine.
Some transmissions were available with multiple bellhousings so we need to know what that pattern is.
I'm building a Chevy SB adapter right now for a forum member.
If the 4L60E was available behind the Chevy SB or 4.3 V6 then this same adapter will work.

Thanks for the fast reply, and for blazing this path! Yes indeed the Chevy SB utilized the 4L60E so the new adapter you are working on will be perfect.

My only question, will there be an issue (space) mounting up a torque converter, flex plate, etc?
