Anyone able to grab a picture of the wiring going to the brake sensor attached to the pedal assembly? Mine seems to be acting up and I want to confirm the color order..
When I press the button the the brake lights light up and I feel like it should be opposite based on the orientation it mounts to the pedals. When mounted the pedal should keep the button pressed and then when you use the brake pedal it should release the button and light up the brakes.
Your help is appreciated.

Posted on craigslist and found a guy a few towns over that is going to fabricate me front and rear bumpers as similar to the Dirtbound Offroad Mojave Bumpers as possible. The kicker is that he is going to do it for $400 and will only take a day or two.
He said he has a couple of friends that paints cars too so hopefully I can get it all done in one week while I am out of town for Thanksgiving. By then I'll have recouped the money from moving and tires and plane tickets etc.
Things are getting good, stick around.
Question.. Hidden winch setup or front hitch receiver. Not sure I will ever need either, although a wrangler I had previously had the front receiver and we used it to mount a plow..

Long story short, do I replace the entire drum brake components or convert to disc brakes? (or possibly upgrade the whole axle if I can find one with disc brakes Probably needs to happen within the next month or so and will just deal with sub par braking until then.
Thoughts are one of three options:
Thoughts are one of three options:
- Keep the 35 and just do the drum brakes (cheaper, but not improvement made)
- Keep the 35 and upgrade to discs (better)
- upgrade to a better axle, Dana 44 or Chrysler 8.25 that has discs that are in good enough shape that nothing need fixed, possible better gearing in that axle while I'm at it? (expensive up front but could be cheaper than regearing and and axle and a brake conversion all together.

Don't mean to complain, and I know that the customer service industry is a tough one even when everything goes right but I have to share.
Well that double starting/not wanting to start thing - yup, that was my starter going out. Tuesday night it made a strange noise while I was starting it up to leave the grocery store. Thought it was strange but with how hard it had been starting didn't think to o much of it. Went to leave for work the next morning at 7 and sure enough, thing was toast. Looked online and saw that O'Reily's had one in stock and they opened at 7:30. Biked myself over to the store and low and behold, they cant find it on the shelf or anywhere else, but they said they would get it on the truck from Albuquerque and have it in by 10:30. I informed them that I would be by after work to get it.
Went home and talked to a coworker for a ride but she doesn't head to work til 8:30 so I had some time to take out the old starter, bike back and have it tested. Tested good but was clearly broken as the thing spun wobbly as all hell. Then bike hime and get ready for work. Got dropped off at my apartment and biked to the store, and guess what, it didn't make it onto the truck.. The manager was really apologetic and said they would take 25% off of the price after the core fee, just ask for him when I cam in the next day, he is there til 6pm. All good and well, but then I had the pleasures of calling my coworker again to ask for another ride.. the least they could have done was called me by the number I ordered it with and told me it wasn't there. Went to the store at 5:30, asked for the manager, he's not in.. the kicker was no one there new anything about the starter or the 25% off. So rightfully so they called him - no answer. So another guy chimes in and says the best they can do is 10%. I was fed up by that point and told them to call him and I would come back later that night and get it. Got a call from the store an hour later saying they would honor the 25% and that I could head back that way. Took me all of 5 minutes to but the next one back in but 2 days and 6 miles on a bicycle to get the part...

Thanks.
My painter picked up the Jeep today. I look forward to it being all one color again! The guy seemed to take pride in his work, he is wet sanding the whole thing to prep it for paint. He is doing door jams and panel fitment
The guy I had lined up for bumpers bailed on me so I need to figure that out. The painter has a cousin that welds so he will quote me out on the bumpers. Hopefully it's as good of a price as the paint job.
The new starter has been giving me troubles still - I think it might be a power issue so I'm going to have to check cables and maybe test the battery.
I'll post pictures on Sunday.

Yeah it's a little darker than I had anticipated but I like it still.
Just ordered my DIY Mojave front bumper from Dirtbound Offroad and a battery tray. Still debating g on if I like their cut n fold rear Mojave bumpers. I have til Monday at midnight for their 20% code so I have some thinking to do. The sides being bolt on and the mandatory reverse light holes both bother me. Will probably just have one custom made.

Put in the smoked lenses, Dirtbound Offroad battery tray, fixed the ground from the engine block so it starts a little better. Still have to hold it for a good few seconds before it fires up. Also got wipers on, was avoiding it because the motor is a pain to get in.
My bumper shipped today and I have someone lined up to weld it up and fab a custom rear bumper the weekend it comes in.
Need to pick between yellow (right) and clear(left) bulbs.
Still deciding whether I want to do charcoal grey or satin black on the bumpers. I know black would look good but the grey could look a little more OEM. Thoughts?

Need to figure out the best way to paint the 2014+ Cherokee badging satin black. I plan to peel off the top sheet to sand and paint it. Wait for it to dry then put a new adhesive sheet on, peel the bottom one off, then apply to the jeep. I am worried that when I peel off the top it'll take the paint off. Thoughts?

My welder is an idiot. If someone gave you very secific pictures of a relatively simple bumper like this:
And told you to send pictures of the progress throughout the build would you take it upon yourself to bring creativity into the design. Sending this picture Friday night:
And this picture Sunday morning:
In what world is that the same. All you had to do is take a 3x3 tube and bend it like four times. This is how you don't get paid. So glad I write contracts for these types of Craigslist transactions.
Rant over.
EDIT: That all seemed really negative and I'm sorry for that - in the end I'm down $200 for him to weld the DYI front bumper, from what I can tell it is well done. So I ended up paying the same as I would have if Dirtbound Offroad had welded it and shipped it direct. And need to find a new welder for the rear that knows how to make what I want.
