Default 1997 Jeep Cherokee Sport - Webster, Texas

Opening a thread to start putting in my build info.

I bought a 1997 Jeep Cherokee Sport White on black. I am in the process of upgrading it. Will post more info soon. For now, here are some pictures of it sitting.

As she was when I bought her. Picture from craigslist ad.

Leather interior. Vehicle got flooded at some point it seems. Smelled awful, after pulling the carpet and rear seat we found the smell had permeated into all the foam.

Shot before interior removal.

Wife helping me lay down the noise dampening.

Slowly but surely. Using a heat gun to get it nice and warm, then rolling it down with various tools to ensure its nice and snug.

Another shot of the sound/noise reduction process.

Went and picked up 2 almost complete sets of interior trim pieces.

Filled the jeep!

Was able to also get some great fabric front seats and rear bench seat from a Grand Cherokee that I will be putting in, they are in amazing shape. Will post pictures this evening once I sort it all out. Got home late and just unloaded it into garage.

I will be using Dupli-Colors Vinyl and Fabric paint to make the interior Flat Black and Charcoal Gray.

Got a Flowmaster 40 installed with a brand new catalytic converter.

Also got the new front seats installed. Taking out the center console was a PAIN in the ****.

Got the 4 door panels off and one of the new panels installed (drivers side so I can use window). Had to order all new clips all the way around. They should be in soon hopfully.

Ordered a set of 1.5" wheel spacers to push my wheels out a little more. I rub at full turn atm. Also planning on a 3" lift so I can put 30-31s on her.

Have been really busy so have not had a lot of time to work on the jeep. However I have pulled the dash and am working on painting the interior pieces as well as figuring out all the wiring the PO added for the sound system. It is a nest of wires.
