1994 Jeep Cherokee 4 DR 4x4 Build

Just bought it saturday(10-24-09) for $400. Fixed fuel line($5 fix). Needs driver side motor mount(bought), battery, had to put new belt and idler pulley on. Also going to weld the header leak and weld the exhuast pipe back together(guy before me cut it off)

Put new idler pulley on and new belt. Gota get new spark plugs, has like no power at low rpm. So gonna get new spark plugs and battery, bought new motor mount today, get it put in sometime this week.
Might make it streetable.

Here's my final list of mod's:
4.88 gears front/rear(randy's ring and pinion)
Locker Rear(ox locker or powertrax)
Posi front
Rough Country 4.5" lift
Solid Diff. cover front/rear
Roll Cage inside/fix rust holes
Custom bumpers front/rear with lights, pull hooks, etc.
Air inatke snorkel and exhuast snorkel
Champion spark plugs
New battery
Needs new shoes and pads
Need to get new tie rod and steering stablizer(its bent and doesn't steer very good)
Stero(deffenitly going to get asap, learned from experiance, lol)
7-16 R1's or LTB's
Tube doors

Gonna run the exhuast up by the pass. side taillight so the exhuast stay's outa the water.

Still unsure wather ima do it or not, Ii got the idea from how the old military humvee's are set-up.

couple picture's from today, just messing around in my yard.

Working on getting new spark plugs, battery, snorkel going and get all the vent line's correct and snorkel'd up.

Then ima work on ordering 4:88 gear's front/rear.

Do you guys think if I put tube doors on her, it wouldn't be to bad if it did rain? I would put a steel or aluminum cover over the tube doors, just wouldn't have half way up? Cause I don't think I could put regular doors back on it because it looks like the crossmember fron the doors is all bent up.

Also what does a slip yoke eliminator kit do? I built my 1975 GMC Seirra K-15 up so I do know about lifting and building/fabricating, but never had a jeep before so tring to learn.

Also got new belt, idler pulley, battery, electric fan installed/wired up and radiator took out and cleaned(covered in mud and kinda of bad, I.E. bent fines so ima pull one off my buddy's junk yard and replace mine but works for now), put new spark plugs in(the old ones were pretty bad), also going to get new plug wires, dist. cap and rotor as their isn't much spark happing(think that's why it isn't running so good). Then going to work on snorkel and fix header leak and weld exhaust back on. Then get 4:56 or 4:88 gears front/rear.

Also which would be better, 4:56 or 4:88 with 32-34" tires?

4.56's are best for 33's so i would go with 4.56's

save up for the full leaf pack upgrade. you might need and SYE, but you cant be sure till you lift it and take it for a test drive; every jeep is different.

Yea im thinking 4:56's, Randy's ring and pinion has a heck of a deal, 4:56 gears and install kit front/rear for $410! So ima get that once I get the money, then work on lift, not sure if I want the 3" or the 4.5", cause im probley just going to cut the fenders and probley just run 33's maybe 34's.

Put new spark plug wires on, new rotor and dist. cap on today, when I get off work, going to fix header leak, weld exhuast back together, find the vac. line's on tranny and get them connected, cut fenders and a few misc. things. Also gota get a new tie-rod as the one that is on there is bent and doesn't turn worth a crap!

Fixed motor mount and and header leak today after work. Found out radiator has a leak, so just going to head to my buddy's shop/junk yard and get a radiator out of a jeep and get a new tie-rod sence mine's bent.

Also going to work on getting 4.5" Rough Country lift with Adjustable trac bar and sway-bar disconnect's.

11-3-09 Put new fuel filter on, deffenitly clogged. Also cut pass. side fender and put snorkel on, going to finish cutting fenders this week.
