I'm not in California but does this include parks that are non-vehicle designated also?

There isn't a lot you fan do about this. The voters have voted. We told them we want all the goodies, but we don't want to pay for it. Well, that can't be done which is why we have a budget crisis. So here is what happens.

Yes this includes non car parks as well. Like beaches and other recreation areas.

We the voters are as responsible as the politicians. We have been voting for budget items while cutting or limiting taxes at the same time. It was inevitable. If you want the goodies, you have to pay for them. Parks and Recreation are the first to go in any government down size.

If you want to gripe about something, I understand that the aid to illegal aliens was not cut at all.

I understand your gripe. It will be a loss to us all to loose access to state lands. You might even find a few off road parks on that list. I have been in government service. There is a pecking order for budget cuts. Parks and Rec. and libraries are always the first to go. Law enforcement and fire protection the last. The rule is that if you want to pass a tax base, make the cuts hurt. Then in the next election you will get the money.

they called me today about helping support the parks and i donated 40 bucks since i cant go to the capitol but i really hope this dont go through. think of it this way when you go to a park or off road area you buy stuff near buy right so if they close the stuff no body will be buying anymore so that will hurt us even more.
