Thumbs up Shoe Creek Trail Ride / Trail Clean-Up. ((5-28,29-11))

SHOE CREEK CLEAN-UP RUN
May 28th/29th 2011

The past few times we've been to Shoe Creek, there has been trash on the sides of trails, in the camping areas, and generally anywhere else slobs decide to throw it.. SO we decided a clean-up run was in order! If you would like to participate and give back, please join us!

For those that are wanting to camp, Jeremy (OverEasy) is going to be at the Apple Convenience Store on route 29 in Amherst County sometime Saturday (28th) before heading to Shoe Creek (time not set yet). There's gas, food, bathrooms, etc there. This is the BP/ Apple Mart that is just past the Food Lion on 29. (5-8 mins)

>>Apple Mart location: 1425 North Amherst Highway, Amherst, VA

For those that aren't camping, Shaun (02Xterra from TeamDOHC.org) will be at the above location sunday morning (29th) at 10 a.m.

>>Directions to S.C. from the Apple Mart that I'll be following...

The last couple of rides we went on we had a great group of people, we're wanting the trend to continue!

Hopefully this time we'll have even more!!

PEOPLE SCHEDULED TO GO ALREADY

Yep i'll definitely be there. Anyone thinking of going you really should, you will have a blast, its alot of fun. The more people that go The faster we can have the trail cleaned up and more time spent on wheeling. So please do your part, in helping keep our local trails clean. That way trails stay open for everyone to enjoy.

LOL, I hear ya! I know i'm 45 mins(at most) away from the trail and it takes me roughly a 1/4 a tank to get there, play, and get back home. I'm in Lynchburg and you're about a hour away from me. If that helps ya guesstimate any...

Also, if there is anyone wanting to just ride, you are more than welcome to ride w/ me. I always have a seat open when I go. If you'd rather check out the trail before you take yours out or if you'd just rather ride anyway... you're more than welcome to hop in with me.

That looks like a lot of fun and with a good purpose behind it. Do you do other events during the summer?.

Thank's! Every time we go we have a blast! Just ask anyone who has been out with us so far, i'm sure they'll tell ya!

Yeah, we try to do more during the summer. Hopefully there will be a couple of other places listed other than a Shoe Creek this summer. Just depends on interest and participation. Looks like we have had pretty good turnouts from CherokeeForum so far. We're in the works of a bigger trip coming up around the middle/ more towards the end of summer. (Hopefully)

Hey Man! I live in Richmond and I am really interested in going!
and Mostly Likely will show up for this.

I was wondering if it would be okay if I posted this Over at Jeepforum.com in The southeast section to maybe get some more people involved. Of course I would link and Credit back here and take no Credit for this but spreeding the word.

But sign me up, and Just let me know!

Hope you can and do show up!

I don't mind you linking it back to here as long as people understand that this has already been planned and there is a meeting spot setup. My thing is, I (and others) like those wanting to attend to meet up with the original group. I would prefer that if people are wanting to come Sat. and camp, they meet me that Sat. sometime. (still open for s meet time) Those wanting to head out Sun. meet up with Shaun (02Xterra) at the meetup spot that Sun. morning and head out with that group.

These meets (this being a clean up and trail run) are mainly setup for folks to meet people who share the same interest as them. Friends have been made through the previous trips and this should continue!

I really hope this response made sense! Hahaa, i'm getting sleepy. If you wanna pm me or call, just shoot me a pm about anymore info you'd like.

That's right! Money is money, it all spends the same! I hope you can make it out w/ us! If you don't think you'll be able to make the run, you can always ride w/ someone. I know my pass. seats will be open. That way you would only have to make it to my house or close and ride the rest of the way, just another option for ya!
