Just curious how many people we have here that are in the OBX area.

I am in Kill Devil Hills myself.

sounds like it. I don't really go to the beach much even though its right there but at the same time I can't imagine living anywhere that was not close to it.

Seems like they have blocked off all the drive on beach accesses with a big pile of sand due to Ida. At least here in KDH the ones I drove by had a big pile of sand where the drive on part was.

Ha yea a lot of people love it here, I'm a high school student and it's pretty much perfect, except there's not always a lot of things to do during the winter

Really? That sucks. I haven't been by the accesses here in the past couple days so I don't know if there blocked off or not, Do you have to pay for a permit up there? Cost $80 here.

Nah so far everything is free and open. You have to get a permit for night driving though I think. Of course you can't drive on many of the beaches during the summer. Oregon Inlet is almost always open though.

That sucks that you have to pay to drive on the beach!
