Please don't go to Demlers!! Not only to police patrol and arrest tresspassers, but there's chemicals in the ground. As for local clubs, I'm President of WNY 4x4 Club. We're as active as possible and have a trip coming up Sunday. There's a pretty good XJ population with us as well. Any time you guys want to go wheeling (legally I might add) there's usually someone available. Check us out at www.facebook.com/groups/wny4x4club and mention this thread so I know who's who!

I got my super u-bolts and plates in yesterday. They are bare metal. Anyone know they best paint to use?
Gonna clean em and throw a coat of primer this weekend. Thinking about painting my axles, and hitch frame, etc.. I heard there was spray paint to use on rust. I have seen some specialty paints online, but was hoping to find something at the store that's readily available.
Rustolem makes a pretty decent rust reformer. Lasted on my front axle being dragged over rocks and dirt so I'd imagine it would last rather long on something that isn't being abused lol.

As for my XJ: 6.5" long arm lift on 35" Cooper STT's with a Ford 8.8 rear with Aussie and G2 Dana 44 with ARB up front. Geared to 4.88. Smittybilt XRC bumper with 9500lb winch and Napier flares. A bunch of other goodies as well but that's the major stuff.

Publicly and legally, nowhere. Welcome to WNY off roading. There's places like Whispering Pines, Wrangler Ave, Mud Bound Wreckers is opening one this year. Those are about 2 hrs away though. We have people in our club that wheel on their land and will let people join them, but there's no legal public place that's local. That's something I've been working on though.

What's the closest Offroad Park Rousch Creek in PA? I thought I've heard of some place in or around Rochester? Does anyone know anyone on the Res.? If you do, you can usually wheel in the res near Gowanda or down near Bradford. Sucks, we build our rigs & NYS doesn't allow anything in parks (like PA does) except for sleds. From what I understand you can buy a day pass to wheel in PA legally....

Well, that all stinks:
- Whispering Pines (Lyons, NY) 120 mles / 1 hour 55 min
- Wrangler Ave (Savona, NY) 116 miles /2 hours 6mim.
- Rousch Creek (Tremont, PA) 120 miles / 1 hour 55 min.

That's amasing, they are almost exactly 2 hours away (from Hamburg, NY) and 120 miles. Couldn't be anymore perfect. CRAP....

Sure happy i can do all this at work.....
