Default White Haven, Mount Pocono, Hazelton, Wilks Barre, Jim Thorpe

White Haven, Pa. 18661

I just moved up here and I'm looking to hook up with a group or even just an individual. I am stock, so I'm looking for some easier stuff to play on. Maybe just some nice trail rides or even just some dirt paths through some great scenery.

Grab a tent, a Pa gazetteer and head west on 80 to the State Forests... that should entertain you for quite some time.

I was just out that way last weekend.

BTW, the state record black bear came from White Haven, it's currently on display at Cabela's in Hamburg.

I am relatively a nooB myself to the Cherokee world, not 4 wheeling, as I have had other rides in the past. And I would be interested in jumping in on anything just to get going again. Kinda fell out of the loop since I was toying around with some rice burners the past few years, haha.

haha, true. I am located in Wilkes-Barre. The few places we used to go have been shut down by the local PD's, simply cause of a few as**oles that have to trash up the trails. Ya know if some of these underage punks would just clean up the empty beercans, johnny law probably wouldn't have to deal with the headaches from complaining tax payers. Ahh, I could ramble on for a lifetime about this topic...
I guess that was why I fell out of 4wheelin, had no place close by to play around. But I missed the fun of off roading. Toying around with cars is great, but there is just something about Jeeps, no matter how much trouble it gives you they are still just awesome. lol

Heres a link to the State Parks. I was hoping to find people up around here as well. Like MCGOAW, Wilkes-Barre is onlt 10 min from me.

BTW - OverlandXJ - I've admired your rig for a while and went to show it to a friend, but no pictures up anymore?

Heres the Pa Forest Service website, you'll find locations and maps.

http://www.dcnr.state.pa.us/forestry/

I deleted my build thread here, it can be found at NAXJA in the paint and bodywork section.
