Ulster County here. Too many hippies here for good offroad. I have been slowly but surely learning about wrenching on my 96 Cherokee Sport. I am hoping to pick up a 95 next just because of how much easier it is to get through inspection etc....

Hello, new guy here!

I currently live in the Albany area of NY but have been in the Capital Region for 3.5 years now. Very noob to this whole this but have been wanting to get into it for years. Got Cherokee back in July of 2011 and she is stock, minus some superficial stuff. Thought this was a good place to check in and see whats up?!! Glad to see that there are some guys not to far away in Saratoga.

Thank you. I certainly will ask many questions but will search them first. I have not been to Whispering Pines, but have seen it posted a couple times. Where is it? What is it? and How is it for stock XJs? (should I have searched those questions first lol?)

Lol no worries! Its in Lyons NY about 10-15 min north of the 90. A stock XJ could definitely play around on some of the trails.

It's mostly mud and hills but they do have a small rock garden that's fun to play around on.
