Default South Jersey get together anyone?

Are any of you near the Philly/South Jersey area that want to get together any up coming weekend?

We live in Blackwood, NJ and don't know where there are any trails or anything yet, but we'd love to meet up near a burger joint or something so we can drool over each others jeeps and learn some stuff from you guys. We gotta get some friends out here

We have a couple mechanical things we are gonna get fixed so we personally won't be mudding or over working the cherokee so thats why I am seeing if just a simple get together would be good for anyone to meet and then we can go from there.

Let me know if you are interested and I will put something together. Please fill out the poll with all weekends that would be best for you. THANKS

I'm willing last weekend in July. July 18/19 is the PA Jeeps show in York PA. That's a great place to see/meet people in this general area. The largest gathering of Jeep enthusiasts on the East Coast. Be there!

once the "introduce yourself" thread gets established i was planning on making a meet and greet maybe wheeling type event at an area easily accesible to most people.

I was looking to do a camping / wheeling type weekend in the Pines sometime this summer. Maybe incorporate some fishing / canoeing / or other activities people enjoy. One thing is I need someone who knows the Pines I don't know anything about them and I don't wanna sink my truck either.

Well, you might not sink it, but prepare to get it good & muddy!

Mud is fine, hydro locking is bad...you will have to guide a trip sometime.

Ha! If I guide a trip we'd be lost in the woods forever!

I'm still looking to have people come out this weekend for sure, but with the other person there, they are local yes, but he has stuff to fix on his truck before we can head out. If he can make it this weekend at Nifty Fifties that would be awesome!

I was camping last weekend and the couple we were with mentioned "sand fleas" in the Pine Barrens. I don't know what exactly they are but they said they were awful, they tried sleeping in the bed of their truck with a cap and the "fleas" came in around the crack by the tailgate. Anybody know what they are, they sound like they could make camping in the Pine Barrens suck big time

Yeah I heard the bugs can be extreme this time of year there. Sand fleas and "no see' ems" can get thru mosquito netting which is bad!
