Does anyone know?
Hey Rob,
Do not cancel your insurance until after your tags are turned in. The state will screw you on that.
FWIW, have you looked into asking your insurance company has a "storage" status for vehicles? I put my boys jeep in "storage" and it costs me almost nothing. It might be cheap enough but still offer you some protection to acts of nature etc.
I have to have tags as I now live in a town home community and without tags I will get towed. I know you have property to store out of site from the road so not the same in your case.

Is there a site I can go where I can learn the rules of MD off-roading? Don't want to clog this thread with a bunch of newbie questions but I'm from Delaware and trying to get out of mall crawl status.

There's beaches here in Delaware but you need a "surf fishing" license and at $85 a year to drive in a straight shore line where dune riding is forbidden just to coat my Jeep in salt doesn't seem worth it... I'd be willing to make the two hour ride to some place more exciting.

Yea Rausch you technically can do most green trails stock, but you need a good spotter in some spots.

No real legal places to go in MD other than Assateague.

Yeah, it was a bit rough in my stock jeep last time. I ended up on some blues too. I wouldn't want to do it again.

Yes, Tim. Well all know that you took your stock comanche on black trails.

And I was pissed about it. It's a testament to what can be done with good spotters and sacrificial body panels; not a bragging point

Finally titled my new 1989 xj in my name. I just need to delete the abs on it and overhaul the brakes...and put in a new speedo cable. Then it should be good to go.

I'm not sure how much more the transmission in the zj can take. It's annoying considering the zj has a ridiculous amount of new parts on it.

But everything klunks and squeals and screeches. I just blew out the front u joints again... New brakes up front and they still make noise... Stupid things are leaking fluid again... This hot summer has been making it run hotter...The bushings in my iro lcas are crapping out... The list goes on.... It's mostly my fault because life's been ****ty for me and I resolve those issues by beating the **** out of it offroad.

Soon I'll be doing the steering box, all the TREs, ball joints, u joints, and hub assemblies on the girlfriends 98 xj.

I'll be moving to cumberland soon, so plan to haul the new xj up there and slowly tinker with it. I've made a lot of **** ups these past three years and it's time for something new.

End Aarons sad life rant lol

P.S Tim sucks.

Edit: I did start humira to better control my crohns issues. I can honeslty say it's the first medication that's actually made a difference. Both physically and mentally.

Why not replace the trans with a used one that isn't as destroyed as your current one?

Cumberland? After you graduate in May?

Congrats on finally figuring out how to help with your Crohn's. Now stop eating stupid food all the time. Lll.

If I'm pulling the Trans, I'd rather swap in a five speed... That's another bag of worms that I'd rather deal with when the zj isn't a daily driver.

I'm moving to cumberland to get my associates. I'll be honest... I got academically suspended from wvu for 5 years. In my freshman year between partying/crohns / and frankly not giving 2 ****s I made my GPA drop way down. My last fall semester I came with .02 of getting my GPA where it had to be. Since it wasn't where it needed to be I got that suspension, it sucks I worked my *** off to get it back up that high. But in the end I can't make any excuses, it's my fault.

I'm going to Allegheny to do their two year program and get my associates in forestry..... What I should done after my freshman year. With all the credits I have it won't take very long, but I'll probably take other classes to better myself as well.

My diet now is pretty good. I pretty much drink only green tea and water... And beer, gluten free if I can find it.
I cut out a lot of food, and I really do feel awesome. I have so much more energy, and don't feel so dead inside anymore. 2 months without a hospital visit is a big deal for me lol.
