justin, did you have a lot of play in your steering before you did your durango gear swap? mine's gettin all loosy goosy. might do the upgrade if it tightens her back up, kegels won't work this time

Not really no. My OEM box blew the output shaft seal.

Gotta check to see where the motion is happening...if it's not internal to the box or the sector shaft bearing, then replacing the steering gear won't do anything to fix the play in the steering.

Every single component of my steering is new and the zj still handles kinda crappie. But it is an old jeep.

I think I just need to push the axle fwd a little.

Ok. How do you get these stupid roof rack cross bars off. I've pushed the button on em till my fingers hurt and they just wont move.

The buttons can ice up/rust/something. Some of mine were stuck, and one broke when I got them all moving freely

so poke them with a screw driver, get frustrated and beat them with a hammer and if that fails pull out the sawzall?
