Yes he needs to turn in the tags BEFORE he cancels the insurance. The mva will fine the **** out of you every day the insurance is canceled and the tags aren't turned in. Cost me an extra $200 because I canceled my insurance and then dropped the tags off the next week on a junk vehicle I had gotten rid of.

Inspection expires? What do you think this is Virginia? Md inspections never "expire". The only time a vehicle needs an inspection to get tags is when the title is transfered to another person unless the vehicle qualities for historic tags ie 20yrs or older as historic tags don't require an inspection but are limited in how your allowed to use them.

Unless the MVA changed the fines it is $150 for the first thirty days and $7 a day after that with no insurance. I also considered putting historic tags on my '95 but the insurance company said it was for leisure use and that historic plates would not decrease my rates so I am keeping regular tags on it until emissions become an issue. Check with your insurance company it cannot hurt to make sure.

we're dying with anticipation!!
Also, if anyone is looking for a set of Rusty's rear BPEs, I have a set that I can't use and would rather not go through the hassle to return, even though it's probably easy.

Also have a set of Rusty's 3" front coils that need to find their way out of the garage. Yoos guys get first cracks before they go up for sale elsewhere.

Working on it again tomorrow. So hopefully the rear will be done, and I can get to work on the front.

Just so everybody knows, Advance Auto Parts will no longer be carrying any standard brake shoes for any Cherokees. Drums and hardware are still available at this time. The only shoes that are still available to order are the "premium" Wagner shoes, but the price has been greatly increased.
