AW4 Help
I got a transmission question for you guys.
The AW4 in my 96 XJ is starting to act up once it gets hot. It would feel like it was shifting in and out of gear at 65mph. I don't have an RPM gauge, got the dummy cluster, but I can hear it change and had a buddy check my OBDII scanner while I was driving to verify for me. Then after about hour and 45 minutes of driving I had to shift into 3 because Drive acted like neutral until I stopped and let it cool down again.
Is the transmission shot? I heard the AW4 of this year are bullet proof. The transmission fluid shows full when at running temp.
All input is welcome!
Thanks.

Drive it around and then use a temperature reader, like a laser pointer one. AW4s should be around 180 degrees Fahrenheit.
