Hi,
I would really like to put a 3 inch lift on my 2000 xj. I went to my local guy who advised me against it becuase he said it could cost close to 2k with the lift kit and install and there could be problems (brake line too short, etc). I have no place (and no knowledge) to do it myself so I am sort of stuck with someone else doing it. Anyone know anybody in the Boston area that can do a lift for a reasonable price? Thanks, David |

I just paid a buddy to do a 4.5 RC lift 300 bucks to do mine... if that help's on what to expect. Needless to say after working out all the bug's I have sunk 1500 big ones in the last month getting this thing right. Lift, labor, tires n rims (used), track bar, balance, alinement. Not as cheap as I thought it would have been but I'm very happy with it

you can do a 3 inch for around 300 to 600 and not have any issues with the install most kits include brake line relocates for there kits as well as shocks. and some include new lower control arms that will help give more flex. just do some research on some kits i think a r.e. or a r.c. lift would be a good way to go for not a lot of money

Shop around some other shops if you can't do it yourself. It sounds like he just doesn't want to do it, or doesn't know how. There is a tire and alignment shop here that does quite a few. Or you can just forge ahead, get some buds to come help and tackle it yourself.
