lol... awesome

The place we lived when we first got married was quite the ghetto (didn't know that when I moved in.... shame on me for not researching). The guy that lived across the street was this big ox of a black guy named "Lo" (short for Lorenzo), really cool guy. Always looked out for us. Man always, ALWAYS, had a drink in his hand... only exception was if he was on the weight bench.

Anyway, one day I came home and he was chillin' on the tailgate of his truck... of course, with a drink in his hand. I walked across the street to shoot the ****. "Hey Lo, whatcha drinkin' now, man? That ain't no beer."

"It's hunch punch" he said. I looked in the bed of the truck and there was a jug of Minute Maid fruit punch and an empty bottle of rubbing alcohol.... I **** you not.

"Lo, you're gonna kill yourself drinkin' that, man!"

"****, I'm gonna die one day anyway.... what difference does today make?"

Well.... can't argue with that, I guess Good ole Lo.

Good morning fellas,
Valve cover replaced, starter replaced, shackle angle finally fixed, gotta swap out an uneven worn tire later this week,
Hopefully by tomorrow or Tuesday slap on the sliders onto the Comanche...

Afternoon....

Walt, those sliders are comin' along nice!

Mine's finally running buttery smooth again! Bypassed the ballast resistor and found a bad plug wire. Swapped out the wire and everything's gravy again. GOD I missed it runnin' like this!

Thank you!
I know that feeling, had a shutting off issue with the Comanche for about a year
Then I finally figured it out and all was well...

Thought I had a collapsed/weak lifter or loose rocker arms. Turned out to be the valves are tapping. I used a set of old LT1 valves i had, had them checked by the machine shop but guess I should have used new. Good news, I have a set of stainless 2.02/1.70 single groove valves to install. But that will have to wait.

Default Looking for some leads

Hey all
I am over 15000 miles on our road trip and currently in Orlando Florida. I need to replace my axle u joints and I am looking to see if anybody knows of a place where I can work and possibly borrow a few tools (jack, stands, and a press/vise although I may pick up a press for future upgrades). I am friends with Cruiser54 and have done work in his garage as well as professional garages who have been kind enough to help me huge (Northwest Driveline Bellingham WA and a gas station service center in Kamloops BC to name two). Any insight would be great and thanks for reading. I'll get it done regardless just trying to avoid having to carry the extra weight of a jack and stands.
