I'm guessing I'm gonna have to finally change my license over to FL if I want to tag and insure this thing here.

Auto insurance in Fl usually covers one free windshield replacement as it's a safety hazard.

SUCCESS!!!!!
No more oil leak, for now anyway.
We'll see when it's time to do the o-ring for the filter adapter, or the oil pressure sender, but I'm liking the fact that I'm not making clouds of smoke whenever I stop at a light.
Also, I figgered out how to use my Hi-Lift, but I jobbed up my rocker panels in the process. Time to cut 'em out and do some 2x6 sliders maybe.

Might have bit off a bit more than I can chew with this one haha. Got to digging into it and hunting down that tapping noise that sounded like it was coming from the top end.
Got under it and it's definitely a little rod knock. Who's ready to help phishy rebuild the bottom end of his 4.0 haha. Atleast I got the jeep cheap.

Sounds phishy to me.
At least doing the bottom end is fairly straight forward.
I'd be happy to help, but I'm in Miami Dade.
Let me know about a Sunday that works for you, because that's
pretty much the only day I have available.
Oh, and I'm gonna have to change the o-ring on the oil filter adapter.
I got a bit of oil squirting out the top by the flange on the block.
Thank God that's easy to reach.

Haha thanks scott.
Yeah I was hoping that I'd be one of the lucky guys and it just be torque convertor bolts but I just took it out for a spin. Cold I'm getting great oil pressure at Idle (around 40 psi) When it's warm i get under 20 at idle and around 30 while cruising. So not HORRIBLE but this motor is definitely tired. Also it's blowing oil or carbon soaked gas out of the exhaust (huge black spot on my garage floor from the exhaust). The knocking is non existent when the engine is cold but is very noticeable when warm.
And to top it off...the 4WD linkage isnt even hooked up...so who knows if that works or not.
The little old spanish lady got one over on me haha.

If she hadn't driven it in awhile, it could just be water built up in the muffler from condensation.
Don't start freaking out yet.
See about reconnecting the shift linkage, and test out the txfr case.
Drop the oil pan and you get a great view of all 6 connecting rods.
Check 'em out that way to see if you need to repair anything.
If you're adventurous, you can do the repair without removing the engine.
I did it once on a friends 4.9 F150. It wasn't easy, but it WAS doable.
