No, you should be able to post just fine. Can you PM anyone? If you can, try to send a PM to "Membership" and explain what's going on before I dive into trying to talk to the right person.

I'm a naxja member, in Anderson. I think there are a lot more than 4 in the state. I have another buddy who is a member who lives across town.

There's 4 Member's that are active within the club and participate with the group. Even then, only 2 of them are active.

For example, you live 30 miles from me and I've never met you. lol I was in Anderson yesterday.

And when I say member, I mean Member, not forum user. What's your user name over there?

Nccherokee.

The reason you haven't met me and the reason why I haven't been active before now is that when I graduated college and left my club at Clemson, I went on to med school, and then residency, so for a 7-year period there really wasn't any time for wheeling, sleeping, eating, hobbies, etc. I just graduated this summer from residency, so I am trying to get the jeep to a point it's safe to wheel with my 2 kids and wife in it. So it may be a little while yet before I'm truly Active, but really hoping to start participating in some of these events. Where do you live?

I figured that's who you were you. I've seen you drive it around a LONG time ago. I know the feeling. I don't get to wheel nearly as much as I'd like to.

I live in Abbeville. Work in Greenwood. Drink in Anderson.

Anybody around Greenville or Simpsonville area know any cheap/free places to have a little fun? I know about gulches but it's kinda far off for me, and a little pricey (I understand why but in highschool don't make much so I can't spend much to go out there).

Horse Pasture Road is a semi-maintained gravel road through the Jocassee Gorges area. You don't have to have 4x4 for the drive. Its a nice free ride.

As far as I know it's open mid-September to April or May. Beautiful views and trail goes all the way to the lake. Last time I was there was before all the rain last year, so there was a huge beach to hang out on. Actually saw videos of people driving down on it, but that wasn't an option in my rig with the kiddos.

This fall we plan to check out muster ground rd, which is on the complete opposite side of the lake from horse pasture. Also seasonal

Are those the only two you know about or are there more other places?

That's pretty much it for legal wheeling in your area. The two gravel roads he mentioned are fun scenic drives but it could be done in a Honda.

There was some place up in Spartanburg but I hear that it was closed down.

Honestly, your best chance at wheeling is going to be a quick ride up to Uwharrie. Sure it's 2.5 hours from you but it's the best you're going to get for beginner wheeling.

Though, I'm guessing that's too far from you since you said Gulches is too far. Have you ever been to Gulches? Save your pennies and round up $25 and come on out for a ride.

We'll be at Gulches Oct 11th.

There are a few fun forest service roads across the GA border off hwy 76, near the Chatooga River. Sarah's Creek road has a few creek crossings and a rock shelf you need high clearance and 4wd to get over. Also it's a very pretty drive. There's a few other forest service roads near the SC/GA border that are short, but hondas could never navigate. These are all 45-60 min from Seneca.

Ivestor Gap in North Carolina is about 90 minutes from Seneca. The trail is open to motorized vehicles every fall. I think it's actually closed right now for maintanance so you'll want to call the Pisgah Ranger Disrict office and check status. It's over 2 miles in and 2 miles back but takes about 2 hours total because it is so dang rocky. No elevation change, but narrow and plenty of obstacles. Very scenic as well.
