My kl trailhawk vs anyones xj up country
anyone have a Up Country package on an XJ? We want to pit my KL Trailhawk against one..
just to see how far they will go and to see if the technology on these new rides are better or worse.. and every other aspect.
the battle ground will be
windrock park in oliver springs tennessee..
SO.. here it.. Any XJ UP COUNTRY OWNER.... im calling you out. for a Wheel OFF.. wurd..
MY KL.. 4 cylinder with 4:56:1 gear ratio.. and of course its stock.. no Stock UP Country need only apply for this little test/off road challenge..
we just want to see which will go farther.. in all conditions.. im thinking mud may be an issue with my KL.. hadnt had anyone that will go with me to pull me out if i get stuck.. so.. ya know.. that sucks..
anyway holler at me if yer game!
good day all!

Don't Trailhawks have lockers? Up Country XJ's don't...
I'll take your challenge all day long if you'll come to Choccolocco in Jacksonville, AL.
I have 4.56's.

heck yea.. you aint far from windrock park either. several of us want to see this comparison go down..
yea we all know lockers make a big difference, so finding someone with that upcountry that will wheel it.. seems to be as hard as finding a unicorn... we all love our XJs. and know they are awesome.. but this KL aint a chump.. i dont want to break anything being silly.. id like to see what will stop this ride.. im not certain about deep mud though.. it may not perform in it like my 96 sport did...
other than that.. it will be a close and interesting event.. just having the 2 on the same trail seeing how technology has advanced the jeep, if any at all, and this weird suspension the KL has and how it operates is different.. ill be available next month..

Yeah the KL with the live axles will lift tires. Having driven many military HMMWVs that are IFS and IRS.......I remember getting tires so high off the ground that you could almost walk underneath it. Thats due to the fact that the sway bar and bump stops keep the axles from articulating too much. Definitely makes for a smoother ride though.
