Default Power lines in Illinois?

I was wondering if it was legal to drive and explore the powerline trails in illinois. I know this is legal in other states, just not sure about illinois and i want to keep "tread lightly" in mind and not have to deal with a cop in a cruiser coming after me down the trail (they're ballsy around my place)

All land is owned by some one. The utility companies only have right of ways to work on and maintaine the lines. So if you dont have permission from the land owner I would say you are tresspassing.

Your not allowed to discuss illegal wheeling on here (I think). Either way just find a field with some trails and ask the owner if you could drive on them and just be respectable.

Attention folks, as was mentioned by some long standing members in this thread, it is ILLEGAL to wheel on power line roads...PERIOD!! DO NOT discuss it here...EVER!! This is your warning!! I removed all threads that even smelled like they were referring to any type of illegal wheeling. Anymore posts of this type will be dealt with a little harsher!!

For the record, I do not wheel ilegally nor do I condone it. I apologize for stirring this all up. I will refrain from further posts on this topic. Again, I apologize sincerely.
