I'm so surprised that you've never heard of anything like that. Chicago really has I guess in a sense corrupted me. My relatives near Bowling Green told me they don't lock their doors. I was in shock haha. I'm also driving down to Lexington this weekend to check some areas out to live. Can't wait to get out of this city.

Well I'm from Chicago as well haha and I can't bring myself to grow accustomed to it. My girlfriends family is from bowling green and yes they don't lock their cars or doors or anything and they are really well known accountants. Lexington is a little bit different as there are some homeless people around downtown and definitely near the Transylvania campus but the rest of the area is all a really nice safe place

Ben from Kenton county. Just bought my second XJ. Im new to the forum but not to the offroad scene. I sold my dedicated crawler which was a samurai on toyota axles, 36"tsls, 6to1 case gears,16valve tracker motor ect... anyways long story short me and my wife had my boy so it was time to get something more family friendly. Looking foward to building up the XJ

To the poster at the top of the page: I live in Lexington and have for a couple of years, NOT a safe place. It doesn't matter where you live, what color you are, or how safe you feel, so don't be deceived. lol
I'll be moving to Dry Ridge in a few weeks for work. Hopefully I can actually get some four wheeling in without driving forever. I will also be avoiding Lexington like the plague that it is. I'm fairly certain after living here that the only people who like Lexington are those who were raised there and know nothing else, or those that don't live there and think its neat...or something.
Moving on! Anyone in or around Dry Ridge?

If you take Brannon road down from Brannon crossing away from Nicholasville road, it eventually dead ends and there is a trail back up on the left side.
However, we have since discovered Jig Water in Richmond, and it blows that place out of the water by a mile

We usually take Tate's creek rd out of lexington all the way to the river, cross the ferry, go a while further and then make a right at the big white church, can't remember the street name I believe it's maple grove road, and then go all the way back to newby, KY and pass the little grocery store on the left, then jig water road is on the right and you take it all the way down to the creek
