Hi all from Oklahoma. I'm from Michigan and have a friend in Tulsa that has a wheel bearing problem. He was in Mich. visiting and we heard a noise coming from the right front wheel, after doing some research on the inter web we narrowed it down to it being in the beginning stage of a wheel bearing (high pitch whine like a balloon releasing some air that would change pitch as it rotated). We checked the axle shaft and the boot is intact & not leaking, brakes we're not the noise, and doesn't seen to be in the differential. He said that this noise can be intermittent and comes in at about 25mph. I hope I covered all my bases here. What I'm looking for is someone in the Tulsa are that could help them out when they get back. They are college students and have a college income (some of you might relate), anyway he said the he'd be looking to by the wheel bearing but is looking for someone to replace it, as he is from Aruba has no tools and little mechanical skills. Any help would be appreciated let me know on here. Thank you all.

When I'm not tinkering on my XJ's (yeah, I have two, both are 1992 and they are virtually Twins), I'm tinkering and flying my airplanes... http://youtube.com/sdlively
