ya I need 33's but I just dont want to come off the money for a wider set of wheels....I'd like to see how your's look....
My 31x10.5 look ok on factory jeep wheels. They do get into my stock lowercontrol arms a bit on tight turns....

I got a set of fake locks in 16x8 too. I am wanting to move to 35s if you are looking at buying wheels and tires I would def trade for some treadwrights in a 16" flavor

My name is Brad and am a member of the BH4W's. Looks like a lot of black hills people looking for a place to go play! Our club is having a run this Saturday up calamity canyon which is in the camp 5 area. Refered to earlier in this thread as 13 creek crossing. There used to be a lot more trails in that area but we lost a few in the forest service battle. The trail on sat will be a nice challenge for 3+ rigs with optional play spots to challenge even the heartiest of driver and rig.
Anyone is welcome to join in the fun! Check bh4wheelers.com for specifics. I think they are leaving bacon park at 8 am sat morning.
Thedale, you know you are always welcome too!

For everyone else, BH4Ws do a lot of hard work to keep trails open. They work hard to educate the uneducated on proper use of the trail system. Even if it means limiting what kind of rigs are on runs. They don't HIDE trails, it's kind of hard since there is a MAP with the trail system on it. Many of them bend over backwards to show visitors around. Like I said it's an opinion and you should make your own before you take someone elses at face value.

I didn't name any names, My post was regarding the general attitude of that forum. Bunch of stuck up people that claim to help keep the trails open, yet nobody is willing to say or help with where those trails might be. Everytime I have gone to a run with BH4 I have been put down and talked down to.

I'm not trying to start anything with the BH4 guys. It is a good Forum with a bunch of good guys, just alot of arrogant douchebags also.

SO, here is my public apology to www.blackhills4wheelers.com Sorry, I did not mean to bash the forum/club/group as a whole!

No secrets to where the trails are, they are all on the forest service map! The map is a little confusing but we can help you through it!
There isn't just claims of keeping the trails open. The black hills jeeps, dakota territory cruisers and the black hills 4 wheelers have thousands of combined man hours fighting for everything we can. Not just for us, for everyone!
If you need help finding a trail, just ask! A lot of the trails out here are difficult to find on your own, join us for a run sometime!

And I know the BH4 guys have done alot for the maps and fighting for our trails, that I do appreciate.

I probably wont go on a big run again, but wouldn't mind going with a smaller crowd. Shannon keeps bugging me to ride with him. I need to take him up on that offer.

I guess I'm a Cherokee owner now. 2000 Grand 3.5" lift, 32ish tires, rocker knockers and other than that it's stock. Previous owner has taken it through Iceman, so it should do ok on a few trails in the area. Nothing compared to my old TJ, but hey... I have heat, I have a place to carry my ice fishing gear, it has a/c and did I mention it was nice and warm inside? LOL Rides like a Caddy compared to the old TJ too.

My $0.02 on the trails...
I found it extremely simple to pull up the trail maps on the Black Hills National Forest website, derive some coordinates, type them into google maps, and bam! I knew exactly where the trails were. Once I got out there, all the trails were clearly labeled.
I've been looking into a couple of the local clubs, haven't picked one to meet up with yet. I love cruising the trails, but not trying to break an axle.

This thread has long since been dead, but just in case,,,,, are there still clubs or trail rides near or around the Sturgis area?
My brother and I travel up to Sturgis around the 3rd - 4th week of June every year for the Camaro rally. I'd like to bring up the Jeep and hit some trails with the girl and let her get some seat time.

I think the Jeep Camp event is that weekend usually. We typically don't run (the other clubs) during that weekend. And yeah there are a few trails there.
