Me either, actually it'll be the first time taking this XJ out at all. Haven't wheeled for about 7 years when I had my last XJ.

I'm working on it. Rear bumper and tire carrier going on this weekend. The hard stuff is the welding on the trusses, and the LSDs and gears. Other than that it's small stuff like wiring the CB and stuff like that.

It was great! There was a small hard/difficult group, then the rest were mild groups.

It started out REEEEEAL slow with a mild group. There were a few stockers in the pack, and way too many stops. So, after a bit, some of us decided to break away and hit some challenging stuff. That's when the fun began! Did some crazy things I didn't think our JKU was capable of. Ran up this narrow creek bed that had a jagged 3~4' water fall/rock ledge (struggling to describe it, and no pics) right at the beginning. Managed to get up on the first try, but not without some MAJOR pucker factor! Jeremy dropped in the trail right after that point and kicked tail with his XJ. The obstacles in the creek bed remained pretty tough (i.e. logs, smaller falls, big stumps, rocks, off-camber, fully flexed spots), and then a real steep rutted & somewhat rocky incline up a hill to the top of the trail.

Anyway....I could go on & on. It was an awesome time! By the way, it actually was dry with not much mud at all. I had to cut out at around 1 due to it being my daughter's prom night.

Come out to Wa****a for clean up day. Mary & I will be there.

Moonlight because of the freedom & fun factor, and you can't beat all-day wheeling for $10. I've heard Wa****a is going to be a blast as well.

Sayersbrook was nice because of the setting and well maintained.....more sense of being remote.
