Nice. I love that area up there. From the cities but try to get up that way as often as possible. I know there's quite a few forest and fire roads up there but don't know about much else. West from you in gilbert in the ohv Park which is fun even with a stock jeep. Just go there to see other people's rigs and get ideas.

Yes it is gorgeous up here, lots of things to do outside not much for shopping or anything else. Yes i have been to Gilbert before, awesome place! I had a V8 ford ranger I brought there before my jeep. Always fun to go there again! I purchased a 4.5 RC lift recently and in the future will upgrade to long arms once i have the funds. So many ideas are floating in my head I don't quite know where to go, definitely would be a good idea to go see what everybody else has done. Which I have been doing non-stop recently. The homebrew-mod thread on this forum is definitely what made me make an account to cherokee forum instead of countless other ones.

Fellow Minnesota convert here checkin in! I live in Saint Paul and DEFINITELY need to find the trails around here haha! Been in a Solara for the last few years and just got a 98' XJ about 1.5 months ago. So far just building out the stuff that is necessary for its survival - New head gasket, catalytic converter, welded some exhaust hangers, needed new u-bolts on the back axle (2 had snapped from rust, other 2 looked bad -sketchy), needed new wheel assemblies on the front 2, tune-up, back hatch lifts....all kinda fun stuff haha. Hopefully a good build log coming in the spring!

Up in ely we have almost zero snow and a fair amount of ice. The trails around ely are quite wet from melted snow and gilbert is not too far away, about 45 minutes so i would figure that they are about the same. Its been quite warm during the days so its been melting then refreezing at night.

Welcome! This page isn't too active but check out TCJC and NSJC if you're on Facebook. I live out in Utah for the time being but my out XJ was one of those running around the metro and I'll be bringing a different one back with me when I'm done out here!

Love the 2-door Jeep, Gunmetal. Looks clean. Sold my 2 door Jeep, miss it. Just have a 4 door left.

Default Hello!

Hey hey! Minnesota guys! It's good to see so many here! I'm from Austin and it's about 1 hour from the cities, but I'm up in burnsville all the time for work at Park Jeep, so let me know when we're all getting together for food, I'd love to plan a time we can go wheeling!

Rooster.

Mine came from arizona and had its first experience with snow last year. This year it's in storage while I'm away at college.
