Warren Miller Dynasty=SCAM!!

Well, I wanted to spread the word. We went down to purchase our tickets for the movie today. The nice lady at the ticket window said that will be $20.00. HMM, interesting, the web site said $17.00. She told me there was a $3.00 "facilities fee". Knowing that it was in no way shape or form her fault, I held my tongue....a little!! LOL!! Oh well, I gave her my money, this is where the fun starts. After buying my tickets, we were waiting for her to get the purchase processed, I grabbed a flyer from the rack about the movie, so I could see what was up. After looking at it, I noticed that they explained how the lift tickets would work, and I'm glad I saw this. They are blacked out from 12/15 til 4/5.....COMPLETE BS!!! I don't even consider hitting the slopes until after 1/1, and that is the way we have done it for years now!! Let's face it, the snow sucks for the most part until then anyway!! We went to a WM movie 2 years ago, and the black out was not as bad. I guess nothing is truly free anymore!! Honestly, I think that WM's movies SUCK, but I liked the idea of getting some lift tickets, or at least a discount. Now that it is so lame, WM will get no more of my money!!

End rant...

every year the useable ticket period gets shorter and shorter. I stopped going last year..his movies have to much slow motion to waste time

No worries bud!! I posted this FC because Warren Miller is a man that produces ski/snowboard movies, and we happen to do a ot of that here!! LOL!! His movies are the largest, and most heavily funded films in this particular industry. They basically travel to exotic destinations, and ski/snowboard, while they film it. Warren narates all of these films, and that is why a lot of folks like them. It also happens to be the reason that I...don't. I would just take advantage of the killer discounts, or free lift passes that used to accompany the movie ticket, like swag, really. Resorts use the film to bring new people to their resorts that may not have been there before, and it was a great way for them to generate revenue. Now they have the HEART of winter, and primest of the prime time ski/snowboard season blacked out!! It really makes no sense to me what so ever!! "Hey, come check out our mountain!!" "The snow is really crummy right now!!" DOH!!

Yeah, my last WM film was 2 years ago, and it was decent then, but now....

i went to this film this year when it came to utah. i always go to the film every year and i have got to say this years film sucked so bad i think the tickets are so over priced and i do not think i will be going again.
