At current ride height I have almost 3 inches of exposed shock shaft, im not looking for a whole lot of up travel, more down travel as im only at 3'' and dont plan on going past 4''. 4 link will probably come with taxes and Im thinking about doing the 63" chevy leafs in the back.

When taxes come its either drop a couple grand on the jeep and set it up on 35s or buy a new dd so I can start the chop/dovenose, axle swap, and probable stretch the rear back a lil

Default Thoughts on Steel Lizard Offroad?

Anyone have any thoughts/opinions on the guys at Steel Lizard Offroad?

Looking at having them install a roll cage of some type here in the next couple weeks. From I can gather so far, they do good work for a reasonable price. Anyone have first hand experience or someplace else you would recommend?

I would just hit up Kelly, but I'm under a bit of a time crunch, looking to take the rig to Baja for Christmas (12 hours each way), so want to get some sound insulation, heat shielding, and carpet laid in before then, which means roll cage before any of that so I don't have to rip it up later. Figure while I've got the seats out, I might as well swap them for some nice ZJ seats as well, especially in the rear so I can get headrests for the kids.

(Junior, if you are bored, feel free to head over to my place, I will apparently have a ton of work to do in the next couple weeks!)

Sure, I'd be interested in getting in touch. Speed is definitely a factor. I need it turned around in about 2-3 weeks, max!

There is a place in Rio, northern area I can't remember where, they do all kinds of stuff off road, drag/drift car. You can probably hit up motiva, they probably know someone that can do it within the time frame but probably won't be cheap.

A cage is something that you want done right once and not super cheap too. I've seen they both well done ones and others that look like crap.
Metal choices also hbrew, DOM, and if seen from schedule 40 and 80. That have been rolled over more then once out in the puerco. Do you want it also depends if you want a hybrid, exo or just a inner cage.
Hybrid is your best bet. But requires a lot more work since it has to tie into everything.

Just name when you need help and I'll roll by.

I know how to do them but I'm not great at them. I set mine up with some help from my bud. But I didn't change my ratio just replaced bearings. If doing them yourself you need a inch pound torque wrench, dial indicator, micrometer, 2 sets of bearings. And some other odds and ends.

You also need a torque wrench that goes up to 250ft/lbs.
