Did you hit up Left Hand? I'd agree about MSV though. If you did MSV it could be kinda messy, and the lake crossing would prolly be impossible right now. Can't even imagine how much of a mess it'd be to get all the way up there then break through the ice or something.

Went up left hand. Should have put my boggers on (which need to be replaced probably by summer, so if anyone has a set of 33s or even 35s with decent tread or a spare bogger in 33x14x15r, let me know). LOL. I have a set of mostly bald pro comps that I use for street driving, I was feeling lazy today and didn't want to swap them and I paid for it. Went up one section, I think it was 286C. Anyway, lost traction, tried hitting it from a different angle, almost flopped, twice. I said **** it and started backing down. Couldn't see well enough and my back tire wedged against one of those metal posts on a steep angle. Couldn't get traction. Dinked around with a high lift for about an hour and then (LUCKILY) some guy came by on a razor thing with a 4k lb winch. Hooked that up to pull the jeep to the side to get the back tire by that post and backed down the rest of the way.
Things I learned today: 1. ALWAYS put the boggers on. 2. get that winch set up 3. I could use some lockers 4. rope stretches too much to be useful, otherwise I MIGHT have been able to do that with the highlift. 5. that dude with the razor thing is the man, he said he just put that winch on this morning and he was excited to use it. LOL Well I was excited to help him. :P 6. an exo cage sounds pretty good... It was dry as a bone up there. Last edited by mr white; 01-23-2012 at 01:52 AM. |
