The cage still works when driving to the trail. It doesn't just work off road.

Cage. Leafs are stable and provide plenty of flex. When I'd rather save up for coilovers and go link that way

Ill do the halo and have the A pillar bars on the outside. So nothing inside by the driver or pass. Then putting a B, C, and D pillar bar on the inside.

Thats kind of what I was thinking, cage will be cheaper then linking the rear. I would love to have coilovers in the rear. Seth, know anyone that can hook me up with DOM

Ok so questiom for you guys, do you think 1.5" 120 wall DOM would be plenty for the whole cage??

I've heard HREW is good unless your making a full buggy.

I think Huntingman is using HREW on his cage.

Or what I was thinking about was using HREW all on the inside bars, and using DOM all on the outsides pieces that are going to take the brunt

If you use HREW, use 1.75.
If you use DOM, you could get by with 1.5, but I'd use 1.75.
If you mix, I'd do all 1.75, so it's all the same.

I'm using 1.75 HREW for my hybrid cage.

i also say cage first. think about your xj flexing the body with a new rear setup. before you modify the suspension wouldnt you like to have a 'square' xj to build off? just sayin.... and i also used 1.75" hrew at .120 wall, i recommend it as the point where tubing is in a decent price range and the strength of the hrew is fine if you build correctly.

so you guys would use all 1.75 for the whole cage? And what do you guys think using dom all for the halo and Hrew for the pillars inside and for the supports on the halo?

Tube service in aurora. I used them for
My cage. I'd also go all Dom. The more you buy the cheaper it is. We can use my trailer to grab it too. I need about 5 more sticks to put into mine so if we order together it will be cheaper. When ya lookin at getting more?
