New to Montana
Hey all,
Just moved to Livingston from Oregon and had to sell my 94 to get here...The wife gave me a slim budget and I found a 97 today with 159xxx on it. 1200 bucks later, got a new Jeep...
About to order a lift for it tomorrow and get it set up 4.5".
Anyone around here have any fun huntin and wheelin around these parts?
I work out of Clyde Park and see alot of deer and elk....
Let me know if anyone wants to meet up and drink some beer!
Scott

It's in fairly good shape. Have all the receipts from the last three years. The previous owners took great care of it. Has some superficial body damage on the passenger side, but nothin that a BFH can't take care of.
Has 159xxx on the clock and runs like a dream. The interior is impeccable other than the rear passenger seat belt was ripped in half by her dog and now I can't get the *$%&@! torx bolt out. Been hittin it with PB and my impact and nothin... I'll get it eventually. Driver window was inop, but that was due to the notorious plastic clip that the screw runs in. Steiger Performance has a kit that I ordered and should be here today.
A/C runs and cruise works, so I'm content. Lift should be here today and I should get started on installing it tomorrow. Ordered a set of black steels and General Grabber's in the 31.10.5.15 flavor and will have those m/b as soon as I'm done with the lift.
Will hopefully post before and after pics as soon as I get her lifted and new shoes put on her.

New to jeep
I just moved to Bozeman a few months ago, I also just bought a 2001 Cherokee yesterday! First Jeep I've ever owned. I don't know of any trails but I would be down to go find some. My jeep is stock as of now but I plan on installing a lift kit soon, just not sure what I want to put in.

Well, The Jeep is done and now has new shoes and socks on. Looks damn good too! Have only seen one modded XJ since I've been here.
I work at the base of the Crazies and have seen some really nice stuff out here. Wife is happy with the new Jeep and the kids are all sorts of jacked up.
Anyone here from the Livingston area?
JeepinMT, Congrats on the jeep purchase. You'll be happy.
If you plan on doing any sort of lift and/or mods, feel free to ask for help. I've got all the tools needed and I have done it once or twice. This is my 4th XJ and it's like crack. You won't be able to stop.
Good luck and let me know if you need anything.

"slim budget"????? Wow, that's about 5 years worth of what my wife allows me to spend. I'm looking for a good solid front bumper with grill protection so that when I hit that deer I won't total my favorite rig! Coach
