Default Where to buy metal in So Cal

Hey Guys,
I am looking to start a few projects for the XJ that require some steel tubing, 1x1, 2x2, 2x3 and possibly 5x2 but I am not sure where the best place to get it is.

The stuff I have welded up until now is just the bar stock and stuff you can get at Home Depot and some exhaust pipe but bumpers and rock sliders require something a bit stronger

Thanks,
John

There's a welding and metal stock supply business at Main St/Spruce St, Riverside, CA 92501. I don't remember the name, but they'll have what you want if you live nearby.

Well, I am down in the OC and I found two places that seem good. Hopefully this info can help someone else out.

Industrial Metal Supply in Irvine (I used these guys) and Schorr Metals in Anaheim. I was told that Schorr sells remnants and they sell that by the pound so for small stuff they are probably cheaper but in the over the phone quote for 8 feet of 2x2 and 5 feet of 1" round IMS was about 3 bucks cheaper plus they are closer to my house.

You can try searching over this Los Angeles Auto Parts
Store. Not really sure if they really have it for that store is still new to me. Hope they really have it.
